1989 Ford Granada 2.0 Scorpio
Mot 6 months
Tax 1 month.
102000 miles.
I bought this car off a gentleman that gave up driving due to his age and ive been running it on a round trip of over 100 miles every day and its been fantastic.
Its the Scorpio so is fully loaded. Full leather, electric everything, heated seats, computer, abs etc. Its a true timewarp car.
Obviously very comfy and surprisingly economical. I'm averaging around 38 mpg. Still plenty nippy enough and apparantly a very good tow car.
The car comes with the original uprated Scorpio stereo, amp and graphic equaliser with pretty led's. Even included is the driving gloves and James Last cassette tapes as I didnt have the heart to remove them.
Before I got it the rear doors were stiff because they have never been opened. The leather seats had never been sat in.
Front seats are in excellent condition still and the original Ford car mats are still perfect.
Outside the car is excellent. It only has rust on 1 wheelarch and the front bumper has a crack on it when I span it in the snow this year and hit a wall at 1 mph??? (I'm presuming the bumper was cold hence the crack).
The car has a 5 speed manual gearbox (I believe Mt75) and changes smoothly. It uses no oil or water and has been 100% reliable.
Ive been offered £400 by a local banger racer, but I don't want it to go that way as the car is far too original for that.
If you want a classic car thats still perfectly useable as everyday transport and still only costs £122 a year to insure this is it.
Sorry for all the pics. (I have loads more here ;D )
