I recently managed to get myself a completely original '77 TT500. A South California import, it obviously hasn't seen much action. Just managed to get it registered, so great for pottering about locally. A proper old school thumper.

Well, the moment finally arrived earlier today, I was going to give the petrol spilt fuel tank a go myself, but, although i have the imagination, I cannot put 'pen to paper' and do my mind any justice, so I gave the tank to a very good friend of mine who took on the challenge, he sent me the previous pic's of the tank in primer, and assured me he was going to acid wash it and do this and that the proper way, I gave him the room he wanted to do his 'creation', and folks, jeez! I am SO IMPRESSED! your thoughts? It def' balances the bike now colour wise, i just need it to start again!!!!!!!

Popped to Epping yesterday, had a chat with a very nice gentleman, bought his Naked Goldwing in Grays (Essex) 41 years ago for £900, he kept all the brightwork covered in grease when stored, the only non original parts were the rear shock and the exhaust, amazing machine, immaculate! over in the corner was a mk1 600 Naked bandit, again, a lovely guy to talk to, a hardened all seasonal rider, 92K miles, seat made out of gaffer tape, had hassle with the spark plug covers not sealing properly and was letting in water and curse word! so 6 years ago.... YES! SIX! he decided to hold them in place! with sealant!!!! Then there was this old boy, he pulled in on this 'Thunder-cat' (i think? Rad looking! cafe racer style? Impressive! the fuel tank was bigger than he was!

That Goldwing is attractive in a hurdy-gurdy sort of way isn't it! If it's not too rude - I'm really after another bike, ideally something retro and enduro / green laney but I'm open to anything really. I've put my BMW E46 touring road legal drift car up for sale / swaps to this effect. If anyone has want of such an oddity or has something DT250 / KE100 / TS shaped for sale then please chuck me a message Cheers!

If your not too far away, there's the Shakedown event in Southend (Essex) this Bank holiday Monday, thousands of bikes, and music too, you never know?

OK, here's a vast array of mean machines, mainly 2 wheeled, i arrived at Southend seafront about 07:45, there were about 30 to 40 bikes, the calm before the storm! 50 mins later, thousands arrived!
