Anyone remember those Corgi Chevy vans from the 70s? I had several. Must go look in the attic to see if I still have them... Anyway, in case anyone was wondering what you get off Capaccioncrusier for nothing (and not, in the words of the song, a rubber biscuit, whatever the funk that might be) This is the latest addition to the fleet, a '92ish Vauxhall Midi van. Just gotta say Dave's a top guy. ;D The vans a complete shed of course, I expected nothing less, but its actually surprisingly good fun to drive. Never knew they had column shift boxes though. And I nearly put it in a ditch the first "fast" corner I came to, these things don't handle like a transit does. Or indeed handle at all! Gonna try putting some fresh oil (and probably slick 50 and/or sawdust!) in the diff and see if I can't get another years ticket on it. Em didn't freak too bad when she got home and saw it on the drive. So all is well. Now to go put it to work... Any one need any "FD" Vauxhall parts or panels I'm having a clear out let me know. I'll stick it all in the for sales...

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Well, I did wonder about a "mystery machine" paint job on it LOL.
Realistically I'll keep it for a bit while I sort out a few things I need a van for and then its on its way elsewhere.

You've gotta admit that sitting over the front wheels with a feeling that your is on the floor is something that EVERBODY should experience at least once. Mind you it brings it home that you really do feel vunerable without that bonnet stretching out infront of you. Frontal impact? No thanks........

excellent work! I remember when my dad had a CF van, 17-18 years ago, and his cousin got a Midi when they first came out and gave me the brochure, SWEET JEEZUS!!!! it looked the total mutha f**kin O.G. van compared to the shat old pre-war tech fat face CF which I had previously been very fond of. Luckily the 'new' midi engine gave his cousin loads of grief so that evened things up a bit, ha ha.

Midi = KWAL
There is serious potential there for some J-VANNING INSPIRED GOODNESS!
My dad had one a few years back, but unfortunately he forgot to apply the handbrake one day and as a result demolished a bus and half of the Stratford (e. london) one-way system. Still ran OK afterwards, and the combo of wheezy engines and archaic column shifts is purest GOLD!

Good work! Wonder what kind of Isuzu running gear they have? Would it be possible to do a bit of mix-and-match GM parts bin tomfoolery? CIH or Piazza Turbo perhaps?
There was a pic in an old SM Motorvation, IIRC yellow and Empi 8-spoke type wheels.
Diesel or petrol? I think the latter were worth a small amount for export a while back, don't know if this still the case.

i think the petrol engine is the same as the Pizza turbo (except without a turbo).
