Nice and shiney Have you blanked out the side trim? Just looked back at pics and it does make it look like I have but no, just waiting on the dealers getting me all my new trim clips before it goes back together. £40 on tiny plastic feckin fixings today! I sympathise! I need to spend a load of money on tiny bits like that on my car and it doesn't exactly give a rewarding feeling. Your 525e is a lovely thing. The E28 is probably my favourite BMW; they're beautiful looking cars and drive superbly. I find the Eta concept interesting and if I ever got an E28 I would choose either the 525e or 528i. In my view they're the best all-round versions of the E28. David

They really are very lazy cars with not a great deal up top. The idea of a 527i really appeals however.

Wow i can't quite believe looking back at this thread how long ago it was that i last worked on this car! Due to being busy with a lot of other curse word this has sat about for the last couple years doing nothing.....lets get it back together now. Has been sitting outside unloved but due to the fresh paint it had along with some good quality wax it still looks in great shape Wings got a wash over and are super shiny still, that Autoglym HD wax is the mutts: I had the engine bay quite tidy on this and looking back at the pics on here i'm a little sad looking at it now Needs a bit of welding on drivers floor, when i discovered this i lost a lot of motivation as it was so nearly done. I got curse word off and lost interest in it. However it's always been there at the back of my mind and finally now i have the cash and the garage to work on it. So picked up a load of parts from Dingbro yesterday and hoping to spend sunday getting to love the old girl again. Shall keep you all posted!!!
