Vertical seats exert more downward force because the energy is focused on a smaller surface area. When horizontal, the weight is spread and so is less per Centimetre squared.

The rear seat thing, It is rare that I fold them down, but it has to be said that when folded they remove a bit of weight. Vertical seats exert more downward force because the energy is focused on a smaller surface area. When horizontal, the weight is spread and so is less per Centimetre squared.
Hahahahah!!!!!!

Surely that guy was on the pi55 take?? - there really aren't people that stupid....are there? Surely he added weight by putting in those ally plated car mats, the extra body kit, the Irmscher badges and the bigger exhaust? Therefore cancelling out all the other weight saving measures he introduced......though I suppose the SRi badges were marginally lighter than the OE SXi ones ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Remember, lowering those seats will also lower the centre of gravity - he missed out on that one eh?
As well as doing this in the Starlet* I've also added a strut brace between the rear shock towers, comprising an elastic bungee. Torsional rigidity much improved.
*In reality, I'm too lazy to put it up after using it for errands.

Oh gawd - bless him! Lets just hope he actually isn't a 'Police Driver' - though it would explain a few things ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) Love the seat thing, & his explaination for his reasoning for folding them flat.

It only carries 1 person, Me. It has no extra weight in the car, all glove compartments, cubby holes and the boot is empty.
sweet tip. A glove box full of curse word must really slow a car down
The tyres are always inflated to 38 PSI to give extra grip and less tyre slouch.
I only need a thin sliver of grip in the centre of the tyre anyway...ooooh shiiiit a treeeeeeeeee!
I regularly drive with around £10 of fuel, again weight saving
...and not because I'm permanently skint since I'm too retarded to hold down a job!
The car is always clean improving aerodynamic progress.
Although I have discovered that jizzing all over the car can knock 4 seconds off the 0-60 time as jizz can be quite slippery. You need to get the run in fast though as the yog starts to become sticky after a while, and the air sticks to it, slowing the car down. Also the ladees can smell the car from a MacDonalds over a mile away and are soon attracted like moths to a sperm scented candle.
With this post I am starting to regret ever joining this thing.
why is that then?
I certainly treat other forum members with respect and have an open mind about people's opinions.
I have the IQ of a lobotomised chinchilla and can't understand why you all seem to hate me...so screw you!
