What's your era? OK, I was thinking most of my cars would have been from the 1970s, as I recall owning so many early 70s cars that they stick in the mind most. I was interested to see the breakdown of which decades had the most purchases by me from in (if that sentence now makes any sense at all to you) Close to 33% of my cars have been from the 1960s Around 29% were from the 1970s A little less than 24% of them were from the 1980s A little over 12% came from the 1990s An almost insignificant % of “other” Google says 1960s car: Google says 1970s car: I think we are done with the stats now...

I would say 60's early 70's is where my heart resides, may be related to those being the cars I saw during my childhood years,I appreciate later vehicles I just don't seem to love them

I was surprised that my results were so heavily weighted towards a particular era. I don't know why, I bought and owned the cars after all. I'm quite clearly a child of the 80's with that decade making up 66% of my car ownership, the 90's come in second with 13%. Bringinmg up the rear with 7% each are the 60's, 70's and Naughties. It makes sense I suppose, even though I've never considered myself a fan of 80's cars. Most of my cars were bought in the 90's - a string of cars useful lifes ended prematurely in my early driving carreer - and were cheap cars 10+ years old so of course were 80's ones. Have an "80's car" pic, I had one, mine a somewhat less desirable brown diesel.

50's - 9% 60's - 17% 70's - 40% 80's - 31% 90's - 3% I'm guessing I'm all in the 70's and 80's. Makes sense as my experiences with earlier and later cars haven't been all that pleasurable.

most of mine have been 80's cars, followed by 90's
only actually owned 1 noughties car (3 bikes tho)
had a couple of 70's and a couple of 60's too
but would say majority have been 80's and early 90's

I've owned literally hundreds of cars so percentages are far too difficult to work out but barring a 51 plate Laguna and a 68 moggie minor, all have been 80s or 90s, probably a 60/40 split in favour of 90s

If I went strictly according to manufacture date mine would be somewhat swayed by the fact I've had several late (70's build) examples of cars. The Oxford is a '70, the Herald '70 made, '71 reg, the Saab was a '72 and the Sun-Tor also a '72 yet none of those would normally be though of as 70s cars. So I'm not going to calculate it but say that my lot so far has been pretty firmly '50s or '60s by design. flickr 60s car.

I don't think I have an era, I guess most of my cars have been 90's, more due to affordability than anything I think 60's are the best era, 1965 would be the best year!

Hmm, mainly 70's, but unintentionally. I'd happily roll in anything as long as I think it's cool

Breakdown of mine:
1970's .... 23%
1980's .... 31%
1990s ..... 38%
2000's ...... 8%
My favourite 10 years of car production would be roughly 1963/4 - 1973/4 but I can't afford the cars that I really want from that period.

Most of mine are from the 80's, but I prefer the flavour of the 70's, like my current ride well... apart from the electrics of the 70's... bloody horrendous!

I just grabbed a peice of paper to writen down what ive had so I can figure this out. 3 pages later I'm still going! Shouldn't have started with an A6 notebook then my stats from the last time a couple of months ago were all focussed around late 80s/early 90s, and I do love the squareness of the 80s. The balance will have changed though as I've had a half dozen late 90s/early 00s through my hands in the last couple of weeks.

Difficult for me because Ive only owned one car (a noughties ) bought it because needed a runaround and it was cheap. But if based on inspiration then clearly the 80s. the decade of cars such as the micra super turbo, starlet turbo S, and most of the cars I was brought up with mainly fords and vauxhalls all pre 1990. Plus the first car I ever drove was a 1990 Mitsubishi Spacewagon when I was 15 , I miss that car so much, want another one but so hard to find now the early ones, we've got a second gen one now (1995) but it will never live up the same as the 80s one.
