I like it well enough even though I don't much like the kit and I'm not a fan of starmags.
It looks well excecuted and the Gulf scheme suits Minis well.
As for those saying "Gulf = yawn", well at least its not yet another frikkin matt black job with red wheels...
You don't have to re-invent the wheel every time you do a car.

I quite like it. But who am I to judge.... Home built, and I'm sure plenty of effort went into it. So if the car is now how the owner wants it, it's a winner!

I don't think anyones saying its a bad car but the wheels/ bodykit and the gulf colours are very common and i cant quite understand why everyone thinks its some great innovation??
Nothing againt the car at all, it looks good. i just don't see whats so special about it!?
Or is this suppose to be a 'look at my car and tell me how much you like it' as oppose to a 'lets have a discussion' thread? If its is il just shut up like i normaly do when i see a car i don't like on this site!.

I think a bit of healthy discussion is great - if someone doesn't like something then I think it's a great attribute of this site and it's members that the comments are said constructively (well, for the most part... "Gulf=Yawn" isn't very constructive.... ;D) To my mind, most cars that are posted up here get the "if it were mine I'd do this that or the other to it" comment, which is fine. To be honest I was a bit surprised that the Gulf colours have fallen out of favour a little, but diff'rent strokes and all that... TBH there isn't an awful lot that hasn't been done on a Mini - it's kind of hard to break new ground.

Good everyone is honest TBH. Some comments are a bit harsh. Its not bad doesn't make me get excited but i bet it ticked all the boxes for the girl and its on the road. Credit where its due, she's done well. Get here on here, she needs to be a 'member'.
The more we learn the more picky we are, i am anyway.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Yeah Starmags rock I reckon. Could look better detailed / painted... not sure. Wish they did them in 16x9J and 5x112 PCD, I'd have 'em on the Benz

Re- the bitching - I don't think it is bitching as such but it was a little at the "edge" in view of the nature of the post.
What is refreshing about this forum is the honesty and variety. I always reckon if you can't say anything nice say nothing at all............
Now if the post had started - This is my mini what do you think? Then I think that the invited constructive critism would be fair.
I like it - OK I wouldn't want to own it (couple of cyl short of my taste) but if the lass that owned it put a lot of effort into getting to look like that and it floats her boat then it a big round of applause from me for the result............ Don't meet many petrol heads of the fairer gender and I'd like to see more on here to help the balance.

Really the mini isn't bad it is quite cool and I don't mean to sound sexist when i say that the fact its owned by a female makes it 10 times more impressive! and the fact its done is worth a load of points too. hands up those with unfinished/unroadworthy projects two for me then ;D Perhaps some finishing touches like orange arches, and skirts. a gulf flag and some stickers as skoda norm said. I think if she's come on here herself (regardless of sex) we'd of all applauded her efforts i'm sure. retro and modified Maybe its the title that got people commenting.

To be honest, it just looked cool to me, but if it's not your cuppa, that's fine. She's coming to CARS with my crew now, so you can chat to her there
