Rover 200 BRM limited edition Sept 1999 - £1400 ONO
96,000 miles
Tax up May 2011
MoT up March 2011
1800cc 16v VVC 145bhp
0-60 in 8.9s, weight about 1150kgs.
Close ratio 5 speed box with Torsen LSD
FSH including original bill of sale from supplying Rover dealer, factory build card, dealer handbooks, all receipts etc.
lots of interest building in these cars as it was the BRM F1 team anniversary last year and these hot hatches are vastly underrrated - been articles in classic car weekly and some of the glossy car mags. all saying that these BRM's at the bottom of the price curve and numbers are dwindling.
I decided that the BRM has to move on the pastures new as I have 4 cars and we've decided that the wife won't be going back to work following maternity leave (got a 9 month old). So, keeping the people carrier , saab 99 turbo and the mini, the BRM is sadly going.
it was bought Nov 2009 with 87k miles on the clock and used by me to commute to work. Now has just under 96k miles and not used that much now. was family owned and I got it off a dealer.
since buying it, i've had the head gasket done using the latest Xpart/"N" series upgrade kit using the latest gasket, ARP spec block bolts, stiffer oil ladder, head skimmed, pressure tested, cylinder liner height checked etc. Also had the water pump, cambelt, tensioners and a new radiator fitted. have all receipts for work professionally (at cost of £1050) done in Jan2010 by local Bosch garage.
New front brakes done in early 2009. new rear discs and pads done March 2010. New HT leads fitted summer 2010. good tyres all round and comes with a spare BRM Cosmos alloy with a nearly new tyre. front grill now correct BRM orange.
Returns roughly 36-38mpg on the commute (mostly motorway).
New set of plugs ready to go in and I also have a new set of BNIB BOGE lowering springs and a pair of new BRM spec rear shocks that might be incuded in the sale.
Car in Warwick or Birmingham for viewing.
cheers
Matt
