Don't get rid of the six. Yes it's a bit old and heavy, but by christ do they sound good ! VERY torquey engine too, as this dyno sheet from my MK2 saloon shows Currently building another engine (along with a load of other mods) with a target of 150 bhp

Hi Nick, I am familiar with you car as a distant admirer on the sideways forum. What has happened to your website? Most of the have been dead links for a while. Regards Mark
P.s. The persuasion is kind of working, lol.

Website is still there but links don't work properly with some browsers (Firefox being a definite example of that). If you look in the address string you will see /..\ after the .com If you delete the ..\ part the links work. I have no idea why it does this as my computer/web knowledge is minimal. I should do it again properly and update it, but this will involve me learning how to do it all over again 'cause it was done a good 5 years ago and I've forgotten how They do sound good, especially 2 or 3 of them being thrashed through alpine tunnels in the middle of the night ;D Nick

With the right carbs and exhaust they're very free revving too.

As I had ran out of gas, thought I might as well make another repair section. This section runs up to the rear arch: Traditional use of rice crispies box for a pattern: Transferred to steel: Cut, filed, shaped and ready for the old to be cut out and the new to be welded in :-) Off subject slightly but here's a picture of my old faithful Migatronic, Tig and compressor:

I found this picture on the club triumph website but can't find any more info on the build. Would love to find out more about it! Don't suppose anybody has come across it on their web travels?

Don't get rid of the straight six. They sound glorious and without it your Vitesse will loose its soul!

Nice project! I'm fond of the straight six too, having a 1600 in my Equipe. Lovely sounding engine and silky smooth. Keep at the welding, it'll all be worthwhile!
