I had a play with my polish today From right to left - R.icky wheels as purchased, cheap! M. initial going over with the bevel discs L. Polished and shiny! This was just a quick going over. I'll be having a more thorough attempt soon.

heres a set of cookie cutters I did by hand before and after and with a red pin stripe had to sell them after all the hard work as they wouldn't fit onto the 944S, I think the guy who got them was hoping to put them on a golf. ive gone on and done a home refurb on my M3 wheels since, so don't be shy in having ago, if they are naff now what have you got to lose

well after being desperate to crack on with this it hasnt gone well at all tbh maybe there is a specific technique ?? but the first wheel I used the disc and its all but worn away and only a third of the paint removed the grinder then began smoking and promtly blew up (FOR FCUKS SAKE) so no more progress as yet, the other three are not painted, but I feel i'll use the other wheel to carry on removing the paint on the first wheel not overly impressed so far tbh........

The discs are for polishing, not paint removal, so that would explain why you've used them up so much, and I would suggest you've been using excess pressure to try and use them to remove the paint. You can buy them cheaper on eBay anyway, they're made by Silverline.

toolbox sells them cheaper than anywhere else i've seen. I found I had some that wore away much quicker than other ones i've had. I sent them back and they replaced them. But if youve got thick paint on its a pricey way of stripping them. I'd get some paint stripper out first then use the bevel discs. I personally didn't find them that great.

Hi Ratta - i'd love some advice on how to polish up these wheels-the black paint is coming away too...just some brief guidance would be excellent. Thanks!

No mate there's two types he sells, one he suggests are specifically for paint removal Regardless of the claims he makes, they are not aggressive enough to be used for paint removal.

These i'm guessing arn't comlicated wheels like BBS they are bog standard le castellets. i've spent nearly £50 on bits including a new grinder to get two half stripped/polished wheels, curse word ;D
