The one I would like to find is the ad for the Mirov-2 "available in any colour as long as it is red" ;D It was for the Norwich Union, all I can find is the short edited version not the full ad and it is a video of a TV so the quality is spectacularly bad ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) I did find the follow up ad they did which sort of shows it as well

I will get round to finishing it at some point

I can't do the advert but I can do some photos which I took back in the summer of it. Wonderful ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I really wanted to find the ad because of the mad interior which changed from RHD to LHD at the push of a button ;D The date of 2003 is wrong as that ad first aired in the late 80's (1989 according to the follow up ad) unless it is a replica?

I've a copy of What Kit Car from around 2003/4, which featured that Mirov. There were 2 Mirovs made for the commercial - one static model, and the other on a Beetle pan, IIRC.
The one that Trigger's taken the photos of was the static model, which was completely rebuilt, including, again IIRC, a mid-mounted V8. Certainly he put a hell of a lot of work into it - the article went into some depth about the details.

Interesting, I thought the wheel stance was slightly different but had assumed it was down to suspension and tyre changes over the years ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I wonder what happened to the beetle based original

I'm not sure. When I get home from Uni I'll see if I can dig it out.

That's correct, IIRC this one didn't have a engine in and was just a bare shell, the owner has built the car up himself, hence the 2003 registration date.
