Is that the inside of your new shed? It's huuge! We def need more plot updates. :-)
Any plans to start on the triumph yet?
That cat is a total tart. One tiny whiff of celebrity and he's on his back offering up his belly. Tramp!

I didn't know that's what he was...
"It is a large and muscular semi-longhair cat, it is best known for its docile and placid temperament and affectionate nature. The name "Ragdoll" is derived from the tendency of individuals from the original breeding stock to go limp and relaxed when picked up."
You got that linky to the updates on your plot? :-)

If you are inclined, the Smoking Tire Pod cast is one of my favourites. Matt is a great host and his 'one take' series on you tube are very very good. Look forward to seeing your 15 minutes of youtube fame! P.

Ha ha- in that last photo in which we chilling in the lazy boys we had just shared a nice spot of 'kicking back and inhaling nature' Then all the Bullplop talk about crazy car ideas began to flow... Yeah I think the whole crew was there. Mark- the shed is almost kitted out with appropriate benches and shelves. Then paid work begins- first up a very rusty '83 Toymotor Sillycar. Hopefully Hannah will start stripping her triumph down this weekend. Just been so busy sorting other stuff. Need to update that cabin thread for sure :-)

Ha ha Cool! At around 10-11 minutes in he takes out an cicada. You can see the shape of it flapping about on the front mounted camera. Then at 16 minutes in I'm sure they pass a silver van parked on the right. Highly likely it was a speed camera van. I'll message Andrew and find out if he gets a ticket :-(
Yeah mark- fantastic sounding engines. Typically so cheap too! Andrew gave my Viva a good caning at the end of the days filming when they were here and he loved it! I'm going to make him an adaptor plate etc for his kit car.

They seem to be pretty rare over here Alex.
I've seen a couple on eBay but they're always £500 or so. For the same price you can get a whole car!
Is that the Exocet he mentioned? So an adaptor to an mx5 box?

Yeah most likely- or an rx7 bell housing with mx5 box/internals.

Congratulations on the recognition of a job well done, car well modified and the resulting video and exposure. Matt, Zach and the crew know how to make compelling and entertaining videos, I'm certainly looking forward to watching his take on the Viva and the truck. And the cat, can't forget about the cat.

....And the cat, can't forget about the cat. That cat... yeah he is invaluable. Like today he hung about assisting me with the Viva. He watched over me to make sure I did things right. For ages now I have been intending to sort out my throttle pedal cable attachment. When I built the inlet manifold and used the mazda throttle body I had intended to have the cable run through from the pulley end so it was nice and clean. But time was running out to get the car on the road for the oldschool nats so I just used a solderless nipple. I have always wanted to fix this but it was one of those little jobs I never got around to. Until today. So the uglyness I don't like is this... I started by chopping off a chunk of alloy in our new toy- $100 secondhand saw. Saw worked well but I already have plans to modify it. With the chunk of alloy and some steel and some little stainless bolts I wittled away until I had this... That fits into the HC pedal like this... I made it like that so when the cable is clamped it remains straight and kink free. Every time I had to remove the cable from the old pinch bolt it would be all kinked and a bit frayed making it a sod to get back through the outer at re-assembly. Now its clean and straight. A simple little thing that will make a big difference. I forgot to take a photo of the pulley end but will get one in the morning. It looks heaps better.
