Looks good to me! I'd love another Viva.
Not a good starting point in the newspaper story though, the 2.3 wasn't a V6 and the standard engine isn't 1259cc.
Sadly, it's probably another one that'll end up back on Ebay, "I bought this with the intention of...."

The curvy, coupe lines were latterly enhanced with the addition of the famous "droop snoot", which looked great, and you could get it with a 2.3-litre V6 engine, which meant it was fast, too. 2.3 V6? And there was silly old me thinking it was a slant-four . Still, he probably knows more about the boot space of the new Suzuki Swift than me. The car actually looks quite solid, I'd like to hope so because starting with the paintwork isn't exactly the standard route of restoration.

That one had been in my watch list It was just the distance and lack of space that put me off. I need something for my spare piazza axle to go into.

you don't still have the auction link do you, Pheonix? LOL, no I just looked for it but already deleted. Ebay should really give serial curse word car buyers a bigger watch list

Wow! From a Professionally done up Charger, to a knackered Viva. That is 'Keeping it real' alright He's gonna get some stick off Clarkson though.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I have it on good authority that the BBC car park houses quite a few heaps of junk quality retro-ish rides in the names of Hammond and May....

Hopefully it`ll turn out better than the works Mini resto that they are supposed to be doing There are rumours flying round the Mini forums that they didn`t actually buy what they thought they`d bought .....
