Cheers dude, I'm pleased with how it looks now much more aggressive! ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) I lowered the seat loads too forgot to mention it. It looked cool but the profile wasnt quite right so I ended up lowering it the most I could and looked much better. Just reading up on rebuild this little engine, seems basic enough but then I'm reading up on google and some of it sounds complicated too!.. I'm just gonna have to take my time and be careful, I'm also reading that you need to file/sand burrs off the new cylinder kits etc... and port match the cylinder with the case for ULTIMATE power - may as well give it a go, don't wanna knacker it though!! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ;D

And you can pop wheelies on the chopper now with the extra leverage of he ape hangers!!! If you really want to pop wheelies on a pushbike then all you need is a banana seat and a sissy bar. Sitting at the back of the banana seat on a Dragstar you can barely even ride it without pulling a huge wheelie! It's all about weight distribution. I reckon that chopper would look pretty good with a banana seat actually. Good work on the moped mate.

Yeah it would look cool with a sissy bar ive had a look but off the shelf ones are expensive! I use the chopper for commuting when the cars are broke or costing too much, 40 minutes down the promenade gets to work on it, that's why I fitted the seat with suspension and padding! Thing is on a morning now it's dark cold and wet, hence the longing for a moped, Deffo be nicer with a motor

Cheers ears ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) ;D Something just occured to me when I was having a little look at the Puch - is the fact that it has a decompression valve in the standard head going to be a problem as I don't think my new 70cc one has a decompression valve? Or at least it doesnt look like it in the pics. Can I just get rid of the cable maybe? Cant quite get my head round it!

No it will work fine without the decompression valve. It's just for the cold start anyway. If the carb/ignition is setup well you will have no problem with cold start.
With my high compression setup it started within a couple of metres (i did not have the pedals anymore so i had to run alongside of it), even in freezing winter.
By the way do you still need that crank?

Brilliant! I think I might need a crank as I belted the piston quite hard and I think I may have damaged it as it doesnt spin as freely! Did you find it?

Just a quick update, fancied White lettered tyres on the puch so got an old grout pen and White spirited the rear tyre, roughed up the lettering and carefully painted them. Been looking forward to getting home to so this all day but when I got back I realised there was hardly any lettering on the tyre! Still did it anyway and it came out ok. Gonna do the front one tomorrow, there's more text on that one so should be a bit better Here's a piccie for the sake of it! Should look cook when it's on, nice old school pirelli ![](http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c33/Daveyboy20/f992245b.jpg) There's a dent in the rear arch and in considering controversially cutting the rear arch so that the tread is on show up until the very top of the tyre if that makes sense, effectively cutting it off at the 12 o'clock position - I reckon it'll look pretty racery but once I do that there's no going back so I might have to potato chop it first. Anyway - front tyre.tomorrow ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) oh and my shiny new stuff hasn't arrived yet, I'm getting itchy feet, want it now!!!!

Doh! Can I burr the edges slightly or might it slip? Be cool if you had that crank thank for looking dude! is it new one or good used? Do you know bout the bearings? I'm gonna replace them whilst it's apart but they always state 'old type' or new type next to them an a few specs, I'm just not sure what I need to be honest! My shiny new bits should arrive soon ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) can't wait! Any idea what bhp figure these little babies put out with the 70cc kit high comp head 15mm carb and race exhaust? 2 or 3 hp or more? Not that it matters it's just nice to know for one upsmanship if I see someone mowin their lawn ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Gonna look sweet with all these bits on - skint now though, so far this money saving venture isn't quite working out but it will in the long run once she is on the road! I realised the frame is the same colour as the RR sticker so I'll have to get another one! Right, back to it!

So did ok in the end, managed to get the motor off. Took a while as I couldn't work out how to removet the main sprocket and it was stopping one of the mounting bolts coming out. Got there in the end and took all the bolts from the casing after unsiezing a couple but decided to quit whilst I was ahead as I didnt want to start bring it with my mallet and Brel something trying to split the casing, so that's where I'm at now, case ready to be split but looking reluctant. Engine off ready for the frame to be cleaned more ![](http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c33/Daveyboy20/e8678889.jpg) Engine ready to split ![](http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c33/Daveyboy20/3e20973f.jpg) It's nice not having to sort an engine crane to remove a motor! Any clues on the best way of splitting the case? Manual says rubber mallet but I haven't got one, maybe a block if wood and a normal mallet? Don't wanna break the case!

At times when I've needed a rubber mallet & haven't had one to hand a descent piece of wood and a normal hammer usually surffices. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Although take your time with it, maybe try spraying a load of WD40 around the area that is going to 'separate', getting some slippery stuff in might make it separate a bit easier. Looking forward to seieng this baby roll. ;D

The best substitute for a rubber mallet is to go to the shops and buy a rubber mallet!! Seriously dude, they are extremely cheap and very useful for persuading all kinds of semi-delicate mechanical parts together when you don't want to damage a machined surface or similar.
