I agree with daveyboy, couldnt get mine to work and retrowagen is having just as much trouble, though at least hes made it run now! Wouldnt say mines being such a trouble now... It runs every time. Pulls like a train (for a moped) Only issues ive had recently is, New speedo cable snapped, So i replaced it entirely with a pushbike digital speedo from halfords, And the vibration makes the L plates come loose no matter how much locktite i use On a funny note i caught up with a cop car on it last night

Hahaha! I'm glad your having loads of fun with it nonetheless. As for l plates, I'm not sure, mine are hanging off a really weight bit of metal on the melody so they come loose every so often and i bash the things reversing it off the curb at the station, but vibration has never taken mine off. Tried locknuts?

haha brilliant dude !!! Get riding it!! As soon as i got out on mine i made a mental list of bits i could improve on. Now its just ticking over at 35mph which is realy nice. Open it up and its loud as hell and goes brilliantly...
I prefer it massively to the honda cg125 i did the cbt on.. That was boring and underpowered.. At least the puch feels like its gonna kill ya ;D

Haha cool! Did you change your sprocket in the end? Did you need to mod the chain at all if so? I'm Definately intrigued as to what it'll be like as the only experience I have at the mo is the ybr125 which I guess is very similar to the cg and if it's half as fun as that was I'll be chuffed ;D anyone know if I need to take my MoT cert to post office or if they'll just look it up on the comp? Insurance docs still not arrived but the Email they sent does say 'certificate of motor insurance' on every page so I guess that'll be ok to print out. Fella in work with a Yamaha R1 says he'll kick my head in if I come in on the puch... Obviously jealous!! ;D

I'd take all the paperwork just in case the clerk had a fall out with their other half that morning. The Puch will probably attract alot more attention than the R1.

yeah id take all the paperwork, Inc the MOT... As for sprockets yeah i changed em.. 42 REAR 17 front. SOOOOOO much better. the stock gearing is fine off the line but screams at 35mph.. Didnt have to mod the drive chain at all. I had to add a link to the starter chain but you don't have one anyway so no need to worry there.. As for the guy at work, I'm with dungbug that the puch will get more attention. I came thru Eastleigh behind a realy nice Bandit and all the cars in the traffic on the other side were all stairing at the puch Its a damn site more interesting than one of those 10 a penny superbikes...

Haha probably right! Just taxed it online as I tried to swing by the garage to get my MoT certificate after work and they'd all had a Roman spear! Said on the dvla database that it was last taxed in 1985!!! Quite some time sat in a garden unloved! However.. It also says that I may be accountable for the gap :/ I didn't sorn it when I bought it last year as it didnt occur to me but don't fancy being accountable for over 1/4 of a decade of no tax! Anyway, that's where it stands at the mo officially taxed, mot'd, insured and I've passed my CBT just need to buy a jacket and some trousers - safety first an all that.. Oh and wait for my tax disc to arrive in the post before I can ride it home

You wont be accountable dude don't worry Ive taxed loads of stuff since ages off the road. Inc my puch with no issues. Think your only accountable if you didnt sorn it and they hadnt noticed (since the sorn came in)
