My Brother has been going through some photographs of our cars from the mid 1980's, A time when we had more enthusiasm then money I will post the full set of "start to finish moggy roof chop" pictures if he can find them. Just these for now though. You can just see the back of my Sapporo on the driveway ;D Happy times!

Loving that '55, it looks massive next to the brit stuff. I'm not a big fan of chopped Minors, but that one looks real smart.
Moon discs FTW!!!

Christ! I remember that Moggy really well. It used to cruise through North Bransholme on the way to Wawne and I used to be in awe of it. I always wondered what happened to it. And the Red FD. Are you Jason?

Are you Jason? Haha I wondered if someone might remember it, Jason is my younger brother we built the moggy up ready for his 17th birthday, he isn't a member on here but does check it out now and again, we have loads of stuff to scan, if you are an old mate of Jason's I'll pass on a message to him. Sadly the red victor and the moggy are no more (unless anybody knows otherwise)

Ah, that makes sense now. I only met Jason once but used to knock around with the lads from Wawne. Can't remember which one lived next door to you now. (Kirky?) I used to have the Custom CF1 just down the road around the same time. Black with wide arches, wolfies, front spoiler, roof spoiler, tube grille, air horns etc.. (A-team stylee red stripe ;D) Like you say, happy times!

So my bro has sent some of the moggy pics through, starting with the day we drove it home. Damn just noticed my Datsun 120y coupe parked up on the road behind, wish I still had it! anybody know of one for sale? My fresh faced 16 year old bro looking pretty pleased with his registration document in hand, and me with hair, and a couple of stone lighter! Next doors Alfa Sud in the background too! Roof chop carnage will ensue in the next installment!

We took the moggy to our friend Chris Hepworth's garage, this guy had cut up and chopped plenty of motors by 1986. So the car was pushed in and "hacked up" The picture quality is pi$$ poor cos the camera was pi$$ poor! As you can see the bonnet had been debadged by this point too. Bit of a trial fit The car was to be couped as well. After a trip to the local scrap yard we cut out the scuttle and windscreen surround from a split screen moggy and welded in. Patching in the rear with the boot lid I love this pic from inside check out the newspaper cutting of Morrissey waving "The Queen is dead" sign! Still a long way to go! brought it out for a breath of fresh air The jack was there to move the car around as the lower trunnion had fell off at this point! More to come!
