********* NOW £325 **********
hi all,
ive put this off for a few weeks now mulling it over but the more time I spend on the forums the more I realise a caddy is what I want so....
up for grabs is my B2 passat GL5.
it has MOT until December 2010 but no Tax
Electric windows all round that work
manual sunroof which works
central locking
starts and drives well
one key fits all
the very respected audi engine, auto box
2 sets of roof rails (that go between the roof bars)
oh and its lowered too. not sure by how much but I couldnt get a trolley jack under it on the steels to swap over to the bottletops, had to use the vw jack to lift it slightly first
I bought this off Big Al on VZi mainly because it was local and i'd never had a B2 before, in hindsight I should've just held out for a caddy, daft really but there you go. damn those impulse buys
i'll be posting lots of pics showing all the crappy bits although to be fair the bodywork in my opinion is still in great condition overall.
the driver door bottom lets it down and also a crease in the passenger front wing, other than that its all good for a 20+yr old car.
boot mat has a bit of crud on it from previous owners and theres a bit of damage to the plastics in the boot, not the end of the world though.
Al did throw in a good solid driver door as replacement which is great, only downside is its gold. does have glass though.
the car owes me what its advertised at, like ive said the aim is to recoop my costs and put towards a mk1 caddy. so no silly offers please
car was £250
I've put a brand new GSF battery in at £67 - receipt to prove
Ive replaced the smashed passenger front quarterlight with OEM glass from VW £37 - receipt to prove
replaced the 13" steels with 14" bottletops and budget tyres with
6mm tread - £80
so if the bottletops grab you then its £450, if not its back on the steels at £380.
pics will come 2moz when I'm not at work but heres Al's link to get a good idea of what you'll be hopefully buying
Car is in Doncaster, I work shifts so am about most days, afters or nights for a poke around the car. brews are free
feel free to pm Al to ask anything about the car, ive not had her long so prob knows better than me the little niggles etc, and theres no horror story that I know of which is making me sell, truth is I should have bought a caddy in the first place, but at least I can now say ive had a B2 as well
link to original ad, it got alot of attention last time, so fingers crossed
