	Will the tank from a 1.6 carb pinto saloon, fit onto a 1.8 cvh carb saloon? Ah and here's a few sierra for yout time in looking at this question

	Can't see any reason why not - fuel tanks are determined by carb/injection (including Diesel) and body shape. I can't tell you definitively though.

	i though that was the way too, just want to be sure though, as i can buy a tank later today but don't want to get it only for it not to fit, too broke for that at the moment (shortage of proper work and tryin to fix up 4 cars will do that though won't it?)

	If memory serves it should fit. Whats wrong with the old one? If it is leaking sometimes you can get them repaired. I got mine repaired here at a radiator repair shop. www.autoinsider.co.uk/local/car-radiator-servicing-and-repairs/ai_23437.php Find one near you. You also have to buy a new strap(s) to fit another tank in. I cannot remember if it is 2 or 1 strap.

	the tank is.... well, rather destroyed, bust open a big split in, not worth fixing. If i was going to get it repaired, i have a friend who does all types of welding, i can weld just about, but not enough to trust myself to fix a tank.
