last night, I mostly did this \/ ![](http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb291/maph2/GAT530T/IMAG0304.jpg) The drivers seats is getting a bit shabby, so to stop it getting any worse, i've decided to fit some leather seats from a later 900. cost for the front and rear seats was £50 so pretty good. shame they are boring grey but are comfy and heated ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) (if I can be bothered to wire them in). on the look out for some grey door cards now started with the passenger seat as a trial run. ended up being pretty simple, just needed to fabricate an adaptor plate from some thick steel strip and some angle iron to allow the front seat mounts to bolt to the floor. was able to use the rear mounting points. ![](http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb291/maph2/GAT530T/IMAG0305.jpg) whats good is that at any point, the standard seats can be bolted straight back in. will do the drivers seat later this week but it might involve a bit more modding as there is a height mechanism to fiddle with.

Love it! Reminds me of my father's Saab obsession. He first bought a brand new 99GLE in 1978 (DOY 882T) which was a massive step up from his Fiat 131 estate and previous long line of Ford Cortinas. We thought it was really exotic, a Swedish car with electric windows and a FASTEN SEAT BELT sign. This was followed 3 years later with a 900 turbo (WKX 591X) which I was very excited about. I couldn't wait to tell my friends at school that my Dad drove a Saab turbo! Another 900 turbo (C937 DJD) came after that and then he did something really silly - bought a non-turbo 900 (F-plate, can't remember it as I was so disappointed!). Finally a new 900 LPT turbo arrived (J95 NLE) which was only sold last year. In the meantime he bought a 9-3 sport diesel which he also really likes. Being in his late 70s I reckon this will be his last Saab, but the 99GLE started a 33 year love affair with Saabs!

That's a remarkable number! There are more 99s than 114 Cabrios... I've seen far more of the cabbys than I have 99s...

Can you even drive cars around Venice? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Good to hear that it has been sold. A lovely car it was too. Does this mean that your 15" wheels are surplus to requirements? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) .

erm..... ;D possibly, but i am on the hunt for a decent triumph 2000 mk1 which has the same 4x114 stud pattern. 15" is a common upgrade (TR6 rims?) so will be hanging on to the Rays.
do you wanna try one on the stag?

You evil man! I may wish to try one as I am playing with the idea of different wheels on the Stag (Lotus Elite rims have been considered) ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) .
