scraping stuff off the work carpark speedbumps. getting it in the ear from carpark security for the patch of oil your cars has left in the carpark A girl I know drives her pre-reg VW split camper the 15mile odd round trip to Kettering everyday to work at the General Hospital there. Before her Husband re-sprayed it was a real rat-look, looking like it had been handpainted back in the sixties by hippies with a big rainbow on the front & flowers down the sides ;D She got asked by her boss to park it round the corner behind the building rather than the usual prominant place in the car park where all the public could see it. As it was supposedly 'giving the wrong impression' Yeah it does seem a bit of a cop-out having a drive your classic to work day on a Sunday in spring

We use our cars daily too (nothing newer than '72 parked outside this fornt door!) but it is important to get out there on this "use your classic day" as there's huge amounts of euro based legislation being throuwn around at the moment.
The FBHVCC have put this idea forwards to show the strength of the classic scene all over the country so that they can better fight off any damaging proposals. Having it on a Sunday is the best bet as those of us that do use them to get to work are in the minority I reckon and on a weekday many are tucked up in garages. Besides if people just drove them to work and back on a set day there'd be cars out tehe between 8-9 in the morning and again for an hour in the evening. This way all being well the roads wil be full of them all day. Oh and it's St Georges day too.
We're planning to join a Cambridge - Oxford club run from Beds across to Cambridgeshire to meet up with the Norfolk lot.
Do it!
