You need to do both sides to get a true view of the stance. Don't do as i've done and chop one side, drop it down and decide its not low enough, chop more off, do other side then realise it's sat on bump stops lol.

Cool, didnt manage it last night, finished wiring in my boost controller and other such gubbins so I'm hoping Ill get a chance this week, if not it'll be the weekend. Annoyingly it probably means I wont be able to drive it to footy as the speed bump to get in there is ridiculous - but I'm not too bothered as long as generally its useable and looks fappin ace

Every MOT 've had has had the light angles adjusted by the garage to pass :-)
And i've only had one lowered car (although that was only at the front :-)

Yeah here is a side on shot I took at the weekend, as you can see the front only needs to come down a bit really, I reckons one coil will sort it right out!

Done ;D Me and mate Chris (meltedcheese) dropped it right on its face yesterday - right on it. We did careful calculations (not even being sarcastic, we had a steel rule and everyfink!) When we lowered the jack to get it off the stands we couldnt get the jack out, had to jack it back up and put the stands back on then lift it side to side, think thats a win isn't it?! ;D Some pics for ya'll Crackin on getting the shocks off I have got some grindy sparky pics but Ill save em for my build thread (plus they're on chris' Iphone) Better!! Couple of adjustments to the arches needed but I'm tidying them up asap anyway, the whole conversino has taken its toll on the bodywork but now the stance is 'right' it almost doesnt matter. Almost!

I know it's totally the opposite of the look you're going for but I reckon sticking some similar sized tyres to the front ones on the back and dropping it just as low would be awesome!

haha yes! Looks amazing dude, what crossmember set up have you got on yours then? same as mine? I think your probably running as low as me now and my crossmember and sump hits the floor quite regularly so if yours is different and tucked up a bit more your a lucky guy! lol This means I'm gonna have to go lower again now though

Haha cheers dude, yeah you should go lower!! My sump is above the crossmember by about an inch ish so sump will be ok, crossmember is quite low but the springs are 200lbs so should be a bit more now, I'm hoping it'll keep off the floor, but not too bothererd if it doesnt as I said the sump is higher than my old pinto one! You alright on speed bumps or so you choose alternative routes??! We pushed it off the drive before and it just clears so jobs a goodun!

I haven't gone over any concrete sleeping policeman yet but all other speedbumps I've just dragged my way over nice and slow. I've got the grind marks on crossmember, sump, exhaust and on some occasions the whole floor to prove it!
On some speedbumps that go up sharp and steep you will prob find the front valance will hit and its prob gonna be worse for you with the splitter on there.
It's all live-able with though so its fine. Jealous of your higher sump though, maybe I need your engine... lol
