After the Eunos was keyed at the gathering, I’ve fallen out of love with it a bit, topped of by the clutch hydraulics failing last week so thinking about changing it. But not sure what I’d want (and can’t really be with out a car or afford to buy another one whilst I sell it) so thought I’d see if anyone fancied a swap or PXing theirs plus some cash my way.
Looking for something like a B3/B4 estate, 2.0 corrado, A4 estate, late 90’s polo, but open to most things. Must be capable of daily use (60 miles a day inc Mways), and return mid 30’s or better and have tax/MOT till at least the end of the year
Have already replaced the clutch slave and the new master cylinder will be on tomorrow hopefully, and I will hopefully have the paintwork restored in the next few weeks.
For those that don’t know the history/spec of it, it is a 1991 Eunos (with PS, EW and AC which needs regassing), is fitted with Rokkor coilovers (set nice and low ), all 4 arches are rolled and was resprayed in RAF PRU satin Blue. Also has fitted a pair of TSI with LED indicators and side lights, a smaller steering wheel, uprated speakers and a decent Sony CD headunit. Since I brought it in Dec it has had a new alternator, rad, Kevlar and silicone rad hoses. The cambelt was changed just before I brought it.
Wheel wise, it can come on either the mk2 MX5 5 spokes (fitted with 2 yoko 539’s and 2 BF Goodridges) or the banded original MX5 steels (14x8 at the front, 14x9 at the rear fitted with no make tyres, but with good tread)
It has no service history sadly, the hood is water tight, but has 2 taped repairs (but you can get a mohair one fitted for £260 in Swansea) and the paint needs touching up around the inside of the arches from where there where rolled (may have painted these in the next couple of weeks). also only has the front numberplate up on the dash. Really needs a better solution.
Value wise, I recon that on the Mk2 MX5 alloys it is worth £1200, or £1500 with the banded steels and the alloys.
It wont be available for a couple of weeks whilst i sort out the couple of issues (paint, clutch and resealing/painting 1 of the steels) and i am based in wiltshire/ work in bristol

Cheers
