Looking amazing, come on a long way! Bookmarked so I can find it at a later date and catch up, then follow the finished result
Incredible. Inspirational, being that patient over so many years whilst still working away at it. No doubt all the effort you've put into this will pay off. And so many shiny parts, I don't even know when to start! Selfishly, I'm pleased I've only just found this thread, I'm not sure I could have been patient enough and waited all of these years! Keep up the good work Rob

I guess I should update this sometime soon...lots of progress on the Datsun to report. While I gather photos and other garb together, I'd like to extend a big thank you to grizz for the gift below, he had Mystery Machine pass on to me in a recent shipment of toffee crisps destined for some of my work colleagues who were caught up in the wildfires in Fort McMurray. Really appreciate it (both of you), had a hectic few months lately, the fire affecting my job, friends livelihoods, houses etc. Ho hum, no deaths, summer is here now, and I have a car that needs paint. Thanks gents

To summarize the extended absence, I got busy with the aftermath of The Beast in Fort McMurray the fire gods were not kind...not even on satellite radio They weren't kind to the trees And they really weren't kind to the neighbourhood that my works rental house sits in View from one of the upstairs bedrooms View from our yard where the bulldozers tried establishing a dozerguard as a firebreak (nearly worked...) suffice to say, fire is a powerful thing. Never really know what nature will throw at you next, had tornadoes touch down in South Western Ontario last week. Fun stuff. Being back in Ontario from Alberta has been a really welcome change of pace, the car has been a treat to work on to take my mind off work related activities and problems. So, onwards. I refinished my cracked 50 dollar dash with about $35 worth of materials, flexible 'bumper' filler. It's not perfect but it turned out okay enough for my purposes. A blitz with some 80 grit on the orbital, then 220, 320 then 700. Came out okay. Primered with filler primer and sealed in truck bedliner and flat black. Photo to follow.. Bodywork is slowly chipping along..took the entire car back to bare metal, we dollied out the worst of the dents, proper fibre filler this time, no bondo, blocking it back until it's ready for primer. The metal is now essentially done, just the carbon/fibreglass parts to do. Silly big smiling frog The fire extinguisher is plumbed in now..., mounts quite nicely behind the passenger side seat. The fancy Fujitsubo exhaust had to undergo a little 'adjustment' to have it fit and be nicely tucked under the body. This is largely a result of the Greddy header I'm running. A crying shame to cut it up but the thing needs to fit. Will get some more photos put up this weekend

Slowly going through and trying to fix all the dead photo links following Imageshacks demise, new updates are in the pipeline but if anyone is reading, please let me know the page or post number with dead photo links so I can try and fix them.
