I've cut up loads of cars. I've full sized oxy accet bottles but prefer to save the gas 9" electric angle grinder in my favorite weapon - decent one (Makita) far better than a Stihl saw. Sabre saw OK but make sure you have decent blades as some cheaper ones easilly loose teeth or blunt. Several sharp chisels and lump hammer are often needed as well. Now tend to take off anything of use and save the hassle of cutting up by ringing scrap mechant to collect even if I don't get a penny for the shell.

I'm doing one at the minute, well I was but I got fed up... lol.
What I've found is that the thin 4 1/2 discs don't last two minutes when you get to tougher bits. The reciprocating saw is good but has a habit of hitting stuff behind or under what you are trying to cut and then bending the blades. I've done most of it with thicker grinding discs, mainly as I had a few already although it's slower progress. :-)
I have a 9" grinder but my dad's got it at the minute.

stihl every time - I'm not allowed to use it with my safety record - but it made light work of cutting a welded in chassis out of my pop shell
we also got a whole 50's yank shell off it's chassis with a few grinder cuts, hammer and bolster
maybe get a crate in, and have a 'chop the car up' party??

Glad I didn't let the travellers take it for £60, just got £66 for the stuff that was inside it. Comedy lows from having half a ton of scrap in the back of the Carlton though haha.
