My mate Pete fetched me this vespa frame last week (Thursday 15th July) and said do as you please with it,
so I did a grey primer/red oxide/cream 'Patina' Slacker special.
plus a tank mural (based on an in joke between mates) and striping to petrol tank, headset top and horncast.
Had it back to him on Wednesday 21st July we chucked forks and engine in then both Pete and my brother between them had it cabled an re-wired ready for the local scooter rally in Sheffield on saturday 24th July.
Petes missus katrina made the seat (she makes spot light covers etc) out of brown vinyl, I added a few splashes of black and brown and sanded it in places so it fitted in with the rest of the scoot.
The flywheel cover was brand new chrome so this had a few throws up and down the driveway, battered with a hammer and scraped against the wall to get the desired effect, as did the carb top.
Headlight was brand new so cracked open a bottle of Amber light paint.
Total out lay for this back was less than £500, this included a new P200 engine off e-bay aswell!!!!
Not bad going and I think it opened a few peoples eyes, you don't just ave to matt black or cover a scoot in lights and wibblepoo to make it stand out! ;D
