That's pretty deep into the 'Lake of The Unloved Motors' there old chap...be careful. You don't want to drown in the 'Sea of Sad' which is very nearby! I have always wanted to swap the bits over onto a Prelude though to make an Acclaim coupe. I've heard that later Rover engines are a relatively easy swap. There was a factory Turbo version too....the Avon Acclaim: www.austin-rover.co.uk/index.htm?avonaccf.htm
Can't get the bumper looking right once it's removed,.. but I'm sure it can be done,.. so here it is from this :
To this :
De-trimmed, shaved, lowered, nice alloys, debadged, rear bumper removed, wingmirrors removed (need to find suitable replacements), chrome beaty trim on arches and body line, clear indicator lenses. Now all you need is to find a suitable engine to stick under that bonnet.
Can you change the colour to a mid-blue with either a lighter blue roof or a white one.
Oh just thought, bottom half light blue and top half dark blue - like some MKI Tina's were.
I think if the bumper was removed altogether and maybe replaced with some nice chrome ones from either a MKI Capri or Spitfire. Or, could remove the middle section but keep the ends and recess the numberplate to the bodywork.
Engine - it would have to be a Rover V8.............
I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.
