Funny this should crop up today. Those who've read the MX5 thread will know I was also considering 4th Gen Civics as my second choice for a daily. I was watching this brown saloon (sedan) with great interest and having lots of evil thoughts of how cool I could make it....not having seen a sloon done in the UK. Very hard slam, some cool rims and done. Pretty much like the above but without all the 'garnish' cgi.ebay.co.uk/1991-HONDA-CIVIC-GOLD-/320559960836?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4aa2dcd304The start price was £280 and it ended yesterday with no bids. Relisted at £250 and currently on £270, this could be an amazing car for someone. Had I not ended up in MX5 ownership yesterday, I would have probably bought this. It's got soo much potential.

Marmite car, I think. There are some elements I really like - stars, glitter ball gear knob, calendar seat protectors, crazy exhausts - and some things I really don't - camber, missing bonnet, rusty wings, roof rack.
But, most importantly, this is an expression and a shout out of the person who built it. While it could be said it's overdone, influenced by too many different ideas, perhaps that's precisely what it is and what it's intended to be? It's certainly not a car you'll forget in a hurry, unlike the stock version.

One of my mates had a stag weekend in Newquay, they created something very similar whilst stopped in a layby on the way down. The theme was a cheap E Bay car , ( Honda for £127) and each member had to purchase some E Bay bits without letting on to the others . These items were fitted with a 12 volt drill and roofing screws.
It broke down in Newquay after several days ,they left it there and called another mate to collect them. Don't rush down to look for it as they did arrange for it to be collected for scrap...such a waste.

It's not how I would've done it (my way would have been way more boring and therefore less threadworthy), but I think it's awesome.

Personally I think it's great , neither boso or rat cars are meant to be taken seriously and a combination of the two is fine by me . There's plenty of little touches to look at ( as well as the more OTT ones ) and it looks like somebody having fun with what as standard is a plain jane saloon ... great stuff ;D

You've been telling me you were a genius since you were seventeen ... in all the time I've known you I still don't know what you mean !

Good man. Glad someone bought it.
I had all sorts of plans for the wheels, stance etc....I'll be interested to see what you do with it.
Brown FTW!

Gonna get some quotes with Ady Flux and the like tomorrow. Lowest quote I got so far is 1900 but that is without mods allowed which clearly is not what I am after. If I can get anything from that or lower with Ady Flux etc then I am totally in the money!
Problem is I can't pick this thing up till Sunday, so I really REALLY hope that the seller understands!
