"Quite" low? "QUITE" low?! I think I've got the lowest E30 in Sheffield mate! Or at least I do when the Never-Lift crew haven't headed up here. It's _very_ low. Thank you for educating, I now understand at least partially why they do what they do and I'm reassured for fellow enthusiast's safety, which is a good thing. Did like the look of your estate, but it was the white one I was worried about since of the three drifters I now know were there it was the only one I saw drive. Now I know what to expect from them I shan't be so scared . Also, thank you for being thoroughly awesome and not giving me a bollocking for being ignorant. One of my biggest gripes of the various car scenes is how thin skinned owners are, often mistaking concern or genuine concern as a chance to snipe at their car. The Hot Rod and Kustom crowd in the UK seem to be the worst for it as I discovered at Billing a few years ago, wouldn't give me the time of day because I was asking how they'd done certain things out of genuine interest and curiosity. Anyways... now that is all behind us, I look forward to seeing your cars next month, I'll see if I can get some better pictures for you too.

Low Polo and Golf Cheers for the snap of the Polo dude. And the fact you actually said it was low, the amount of abuse I get saying its not low enough from my mates is unreal.

Thought your Polo was just low enough, I'm a firm believer that there is such a thing as a car being too low for more than show.

Look at that back wheel. Arch gap isn't only measured vertically.

Here we are, part two. Lots of cars, really surprising actually. The owner of this little yellow Fiesta asked me if I wouldn't mind taking some pictures, which I didn't. Last time most of my pics came out badly. It's got a fair few neat little tricks like shaved doors, smoothed out valances, sneaky front indicators and about as much lowering as can be got on those wheels without modifying the bodyshell. Bit battered which leads me to believe it's a bit of a work horse too. Back to the overview. The best thing about this meet is the wide variety of cars, including the drifters. I have no idea what this white car is, I'm guessing something Japanese, but it's really well turned out (Rtlkyuubi says: white japanese cars were nissan 2 s14's, s14a and s13 silvia). Didn't get a very good pic of the red and white one behind it. My apologies if I didn't grab a picture of your car, I was wet and my camera, as you can see, looks like it was taking on water (it thankfully wasn't) so many of the pictures came out too blurry to be any good. All of the above are available in big should you want one for any reason, just drop me a PM or a comment here.

4th of October 2010. At least it was dry this time, quite a pleasant evening all told even if two of the boys there decided to be utter numpties... hopefully it's not going to be a recurrent theme else we risk having our fun spoiled by idiots. Anyway, pictures. First time I've seen one of these in the flesh. This one will always get photographed, it's one of my favourites. Sounded stunning growling in the distance as it left. Some golden oldies. A flock of Fiestas. Another favourite, love this thing just the way it is. Sheffieldcortinacentre's timewarp again. Triumph Toledo recently completed the 2000 miles in 48 hours Round Britain Reliability Run. Crash's rainbow metalflake on black Wolfrace Voodoos caught my eye, but then they would. Just a shame we didn't have a sunny day to show the true glory of these wheels. Gone are the purple wheels, banished to the garage. It's still an awesome little car though, this little Toyota Starlet. A proper pocket rocket. A bunch of stuff. Low Golfs. The one in front was just right. Porsche 924 and DMC DeLorean. Hooray for Polos! Liked this P100, it's been a while since I saw one. That green VW Caddy, another favourite. More in a moment....

... as promised, more. This was a pleasant surprise, always liked the look of these Astras. Wasn't sure whether or not this was an GTE, but I suspected it might've been. Another Polo appeared, a Mk2F van. Potential realised, the wheels and stance on this Cavalier looked great. No idea how much had been done to it, but it looked like it was just enough. Some Skylines also made an appearance. This one surprised me since I normally don't like Corsas. This one has to be the exception that proves the rule for me. More group shots. That Opel Ascona. Definitely up there on my Favourites list. The rat Fiesta with the Houndstooth roof. Brilliant. Not technically retro I suppose, but this just seemed to work for me tonight. Again, another car I don't normally like but this was a great example of how to do it right. Back to yet another favourite, the monstrous Transit van. Finally got one of the shots I wanted, usually there's too many things or people in the way. VW Jetta was very low and nose down. Omnomnom Smart Caddy And a Ford Escort to finish things off. Shame that the pictures are a bit yellowy and grainy, I couldn't find the night-time setting on the camera and the flash was far too bright, so had to rely on the automatic settings. If you want a big version of any of tonight's pictures, just drop me a line or comment here and I'll furnish you with images accordingly.

TransitRS: I'm going to assume you own the excellent graphite Mk2 with the sidepipes. Always a joy to see it at the meet and grab photographs of it, could just do with some better light to do it justice. poloandyb: It's been a while since I've seen a Polo van and I quite liked yours, but then I would since I'm a bit bias towards the midget-hearse shape Polo. Looking forward to seeing the Astra on new wheels, let him know he's definitely going to get pics of it if he does it for the next meet, hopefully better ones than I took this time around. Out of interest, has the Cavalier just been lowered and given different wheels, or is there more to it than that? RTL: thought you might be kicking yourself about missing the DMC, you're not the only one that was. Need to get a new pic of the satin blue monster next meet since you've done the rear arches, means my pictures are out of date now
