Just as things semed like that were going my way and the mini would attualy get finished ive gone and curse word up! Been doing the filler work on the body over the last week and its been going well. So this weekend i dicided i needed to get the doors/front end/bootlid/roof prepped too. I start by stripping the roof, put a coat of stripper on it and i just dosent touch it! damn i think, thats alot of sanding ive got to do to get it back to bear metal now! (like 5 layers of paint) so been as I'm sandblasting the doors i deicide to risk it and do the roof skin too. BAD MOVE! the roof skin is now a useless heap of twisted metal! what pisses me off is i knew it would happen but for some reason i went ahead and did it anyway! So anyway I'm now in desperate need of a decent roof skin/rusty mini with a good roof. So if any one can help out please do! Then i move onto the other parts, front end and bootlid and one door goes good so I'm starting to cheer up. Then i come to the last door and descover its wagged up to death! The skin has rusted under the filler so its not like i can put it back in easly either. Double Damn! I think the best solution is a new door so if anyone can help with a straight, non rusty mini door for a sensible price I'm in need! So now I'm delayed untill i can get some replacements! Not a good day for me Oh and to cheer me up yet again i finished painting the wheels for the fiesta so i can go blow 200 squids on tyre next week Thank you for putting up with my little rant!

Sick with it though mate, I can`t wait to see it finished [/jealous]
What side door do you need? I have a good passenger door that needs a bit of work on the bottom of the frame, the skin is ok. Let me know.

Don't be too hard on yourself mate, we all make mistakes. I struggle a bit when I do or say silly things, and tend to beat myself up over them, but I've learned recently from my mate vrskoda-norman a few lessons in self opinion. [Yes he's 16 and teaching me a 33 year old. What a guy!! ] Calm down and look at it again when you're feeling better, it won't seem any where near as bad.

I'm not sure I have one of those, I just let the anger bubble up in every availible space until it explodes out in a cloud of commie rage! ;D ;D Back on subject, sorry to hear that mate, maybe you could look in your local scrappie for a mini with a good roof and doors, you know, one that's mechanically gone or needs new subframes but the body's alright? If I see any cheap Minis going for sale anywhere I'll let you know.

That's a tough setback, if it's any consolation I made a right of some bodywork on mine this afternoon and I've got to grind it all back and start again to make it better. It's not a whole roof I know, but we all do it ;D

I'm a bit tempted to blow £500 but a glass one for £180ish sounds more my price range. The thing that puts me off is the long lead time on them. From what ive heard car will be finished before i get it!

Well, mine's gone into "neutral space" too. Not sure why but just went out the garage, looked at it a bit, came back in the house and turned on the PC instead.
