Ive managed to source an original set of tele-dials for my Porsche 944 turbo. These are the ultra rare ET23.3 offset 16" jobbies. However, I have been told by some Porsche anoracks that I can use 205/50/16 on the front and 225/50/16 on the back as standard or I could opt to use 225/50/16 on the front and 245/45/16 on the back. I am struggling to find anyone who stocks these with a high enough speed rating for a Porsche 944 turbo - should be around 160 to 180 mph and I am after non "Chinchang "make. I'm after something reputable if possible. For your time: Any ideas please?

Camskill are absolutely great. My last set of tyres arrived in just over 14 hours!

You don't need tyres rated to the top speed of the car. Can't imagine you're gonna do 160mph+ much and the speed rating is for constant use at that speed, the odd fluctuation over the rated speed won't matter.

You don't need tyres rated to the top speed of the car. Oh yes you do. If the car was originally specified with V rated tyres (most likely on a car of that era) then you need to fit at least Vs onto it as replacements. Of course no one is ever going to drive at over 70-mph on public roads, but lower speed rated tyres are not correct for the car. Incorrect tyres = invalid insurance. Edit - as well as Camskill. it's worth trying Blackcircles. Edit 2 - the second set of sizes listed by Rav are standard for the Turbo S and should be Z rated.

www.mytyres.co.ukwhich is a branch of delticom, have very good experiences with them over here. btw Nankang is worth a try, they're really good value, but obviously not the best there is..

Incorrect tyres = invalid insurance. Surely unless you crashed at over the rated speed of the tyres they couldn't question it? The load rating would surely be more important? Matt

An insurance company will challenge anything they can find to avoid a payout.

How is the availability of 215/235 tyres? Might be an option too.

I too have very good experience with Delticom, I've ordered tires from them 4 or 5 times both from their Dutch and their Finnish shops. One word of warning though: If you are ordering weird size tires from Delticom (or probably any other webshop) you may get tires that have been on the shelf quite long. The 14" Toyo Proxes T1-R's I ordered Feb. 2010 where manufactured in 2008. All other tires I've bought from Delticom had manufacturing dates only a couple of weeks old though.
