Pretty tidy 360 that is, I've met the seller when he came to pick up some parts from me. The carb versions are also pretty economical 250 miles to half a tank (55 litres) of motorway driving. My injection only does around 300-310 miles to a full tank What? That works out at 20 mpg for the carb and 14 for the injection!!!! Surely that can't be right.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

What? That works out at 20 mpg for the carb and 14 for the injection!!!! Surely that can't be right. Not sure how that works out.. but 55 litres is around 12 imperial gallons, 300/12 = 25mpg. Realistically my tank wasnt brimming, I expect there was around 48 litres in there, over 306 miles my last calculation got 29mpg. Half a tank for the carb = 27.5 litres, around 6 gallons. 250/6 works out at 41mpg.

aha!! my fault, I saw the words '55 litres' and 'half a tank', and cleverly reasoned that they had a 110 litre talk! Obviously I was thinking of another volvo, like a 13-litre 'FH series' tractor unit.
30mpg is acceptable I think, that wouldn't put me off. You would expect the injection ones to be more economical, perhaps there are other differences in the engine.

Tad harsh Three things make that car a bit of a bargain - manual (f'ing rare in non forces cars) - Rear wheel arches looked excellent (Even rarer than manuals) - Colour (never ever seen one that colour before) But it is turd brown (off sorts so I'll live with your themed post) ;D
