Right... I had a look around the net for people that have done ANYTHING with a 3dr Sierra other than turn it into another Cosworth replica ... and I can't find any... not even in Germany! ... So... time to break out Photoshop I think. If anyone else has any good source images drop em in here .... but for the time being : What can we come up with!?

No Photoshopping yet, but how about either slammed and mat black with flames on plain steels or Moon discs (salt flat racer style), or Big and littles with a set of Hoosier tyres on back. up Nose down funny car style with a FnF Ironing board spoiler on the back, and do the bodywork in Red/Yellow/Black diagonal 70's/early 80's stripes (bit like a rising sun design). Then plaster it with sponsor stickers. Personally I would go with the matt black and steels, then shove a Rover V8 under the bonnet, but leave some 1.3 badges on the hatch.

First try : Cleaned on Ronal Turbo. I'd have liked to body colour the bumpers but it was proving tricky to match the paint properly.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Ooof - that is nice reanimation! Funny I was having a conversation the other day with a mate whilst driving down the M1 - we had just seen a very clean early Seirra, he claimed such a car could never be cool - I was argueing against him & I think the orange Sierra & Hotwire's PS are probably enough ammunition [sp?] to prove him wrong

I saw a rather ratty 2-door running v.low on capri 13in ronals over in Ireland. From the way it took off it was packing more than 1300cc's too I like the idea of a bog-stock early sierra (slatted grille, obv!), wearing it's placca wheel trims but with serious amounts of HOSSPOWER. Proper sleeper style. Nothing at all to give the game away other than slightly fatter rubber & low stance....

When Sierra was launched Street Machine featured a couple of really nice Custom Profile type illustrations, one was based on 5dr with front and rear doors joined together and hinged at top to form a huge gullwing! Something like November '82, anyone dig one out before I get home tonight?

There's always the old Sierra concept design, I can never find many pictures of it on the web though:
