Right, final colours have been decided and the cars will be painted as follows: Ben's Volvo: Middle Brown (BS381c 411) All colours will be satin finish. Every colour chart I've looked at has been slightly different. Even paint shop ones (sunlight fading?) so my colour may even be a surprise to me. It's still the colour I come back to every time I look though. This is going to be awesome.

Brown for the win Ben, Brown for the win... I'm really quite annoyed I have to miss this, seeing a car go from patchy, rusty, mis matched panels to solid paint in any colour is something good. Like mowing the lawn and getting stripes, or dusting, or... You know what I mean

The finishing texture and the light (indoors / daylight) will have an effect on the colour.
Also don¡¦t forget that depending on what you¡¦re looking at it on will also vary. Monitors display in RGB and print is CMYK. So the perfect shade online will be quite different when mixed. If you like a colour onscreen you need to then compare it to colour swatches to find out its closest match in CMYK.
Still think it would be funny to roll up at the paint shop with a turd in a tupperware and ask if they can match it. Then when they look at you like you¡¦re a nutter, accidentally fumble the container and drop the contents on the counter. Jackass humour I know! ƒº

PM sent Bruce, can't wait for next weekend, the Eunos is going to look a bit odd next week with a red nose and variuos bits in primer ect I might have to disapear each night now as the Cat needs medication twice a day at the mo but have the use of my wifes Ka Sat so if I can sort a lift home on Friday and back in on Sunday then I can leave the Eunos over night, come back in early Sat in the Ka and then get a lift back in on Sunday morning for the refit

Plenty of variables to take into consideration but I've seen a fairly accurate representation of it and I'm happy. How it will translate from a one inch square to a tonne and a half of Volvo is going to be the biggest unknown. Cheers, Bryn. Absolutely agree, just having it one one colour will make the world of difference.

**random thought** It's going to be Pilton weekend so anyone who'd normally come up the A37 would do well to avoid it. Probably only me, but at least I've reminded myself.

Well, the prep work has started, got rid of a dink in the rear 1/4 along with a load of chips, sorted a couple of gouges in the back bumper, small rust blim on the boot, a gouge on the pass door and some chips and dents on the bonnet (still needs a bit more finishing). Set off this morning just after 7 to drive to Seths to collect a good pair of front wings and bumper, got home to swap them over at Lunch. Then the fun started Needed to get the Eunos in the air, and only the stock jack can get under it. But then managed to snap the handle off of it Tried to battle on with it on the floor, but was defeated by a rounded nut. So have transported the panels to the lock up where I can attack it tomorrow after work But we'll be ready for Friday ;D Oh, and Garry can't make it, got his dates mixed up and he is back in the home land

Caution snapping the small bolts at base of wing rear edge and also small bumper bolt's, think the J's soaked them in salt water.
Give em a squirt with some penetrating then have a cup of tea.
Just from past experience don't want any of you guy's held up as this is an epic challenge. ;D

I'd like to come along please, I should be able to make the whole weekend depending how busy I am with work Friday. I can bring a fairly good spray gun and a couple of cheapies along, and a moderate level of knowledge. Just got back from a weekend in Holland and stocked up on dutch beer too

Just from past experience don't want any of you guy's held up as this is an epic challenge. ;D Tell me about it, 1 wing now has a self taper in the bottom for the min until I can sort out a better solution. But, teh wings and bumper are changed ;D Thankfully had the use of some decent sockets designed to deal with rounded bolts Anyway, pic's Tomorrow is out with the DA on the wings and bumper to sort out scratches and a couple of dinks (Gaz did some sterling work with the hammer and dollies to get out most of it so only a tiny amount of filler will be needed ) and I still have the back panel to sort out, rear mudflaps and the rear fog to lose. But getting there. Bring on the weekend

Bring anything you want.. We normaly chip in for food and beer but if theres anything specific you fancy bringing then feel free. I may do some baking if I get a chance! More work related, a respirator if you have one would be awesome because it means more people can get in the booth. I'm sure bruce will check in on here and sort you with directions edit.. And a sleeping bag..

A post code would be a useful thing to know Anyway, been busy on the prep side this afternoon Got the back panel how I want it now and the front end is now DA'd down. But then started to rush things and have had a couple of areas I have primed reacting because I didn't clean it down properly and a couple of runs as well Lesson learnt, take time and do it right. So will be finishing it off tomorrow after work at home. Forgot to put this pic up earlier, when we took the wings off we found a new built in facility that I would never have thought of Dam clever these japs ;D

Right, sorry for not updating this thread for a bit. I was down at Area 52 ALL weekend then straight off to London for this film shoot with the Delica.
There is some important news, so please take note: Due to a bit of a fall out with the 'neighbour' last weekend I really don't want to cause any more friction so I ask that everyone park their cars out in the road somewhere. I know this isn't ideal but I don't want to escalate this issue so with the exception of Ryan, Craig, Ben & myself, if you can park elsewhere during the day I'd be really grateful.
In the evening I'll sort something for parking/sleeping but don't want the yard filled with cars - so please wait for the nod from me before driving into the unit yard. Sorry about that.
Sorry also to those that can't make it. I think we'll be around 18 people which actually suits more due to space....especially for sleeping.
Anyone who doesn't know where the unit is, please PM me and I'll send you the postcode and my phone number. I am quite busy at the moment so will only have the chance to PM back those who contact me.
Thanks again and I'll update again here tomorrow night.

I have had some problems which may put attendance at risk a weeks fuel in a day and a non repairable puncture means I am near £80 down this week That's a big chunk of fun budget gone
