In other words THEY (TYRE CENTRE) WILL NOT FIT/DO 'STRETCHED' TYRE SET UP (THIN TYRE ONTO WIDE WHEEL) FOR FEAR OF COME BACK/ CLAIM AGAINST THEM! You need to get a better tyre fitter... Stretch is still cool,.. official,.. because I say so

That a8 is norwegian, was for sale for 25000(?) GBP some time ago (270000 norwegian kroner) Oh, and norwegian Golf 2 on 10x14 Schmidt TH-lines, 9 or 9,5 in front i think. 225\45 tyres all round if i remember correctly... Oh yeah, forgot to mention, this was a daily driver, rolling just as low as in the pics ;D That would be nice if it was proper low. Tyres tucked in the arches, then slammed......South London style! ;D

I'm still anti! But here's a couple of historical stretches anyway.... On a Lotus F1 car, from a 1968 Autocar. And on a rather nice racing Commodore, picture taken from a rather nice Opel book I've got. Stretch here a bit induced by cornering?!

Is tyre stretching actually safe/legal? Doesn't look either to me!

A little too far for me. Outside the arch, isn't that illegal? Spits stones everywhere...

A little too far for me. Outside the arch, isn't that illegal? Spits stones everywhere... Nope. As long as the tread falls within the arch at it's zenith, it'll pass an MOT. so...wide wheels + stretched tyre = win. *n

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum
