Model: Lexus LS400 Year: 1995 Mileage: 185000 Tax: 1.5 months MOT: 2 months Location: Nottingham Price: £995 £895 £650 o.n.o. £575 p/ex or swap economical retro Additional Information: Nice car, fast, refined, fully spec'd. This is the Mk3, do not confuse with the Mk1 & Mk2 which look the same but are much heavier and less powerful. For sale only beacuse of one of those "heck, I *MUST* have that" experiances in the classifieds... Its got a little blow on the exhaust which is the joint where the downpipes meet - usually just needs stripping/cleaning/refitting and the heat sheild rattles occasionally (might be fixed by me shortly anyway) and the idle speed is occasionally too high (again, I might sort this if I get 5 minutes, its just a gunked ICV which needs a clean) Driver's seat does not electrically recline but other than that everything works. Has its share of marks and skuffs. Runs great. 260 BHP, 0-60 7.1 1/4 mile 15.2 sec Dual zone A/C blows cold, elec windows, roof, seats, mirrors, memory settings, etc.

Mk1 & mk2 = 240 BHP. Mk3 = 260 BHP Mk4 = 280 BHP with VVTI + 5 speed auto
This is the non-VVTI 4 speed auto, sports/normal mode. No traction control, no vehicle stability programme.

yes, its 4 litre a quad cam v8. They are ridiculously over engineered. its all forged internals and 6 (yes six) bolt main caps. There are Aussies running 1000 BHP turbo versions on the stock internals.
According to Jeremy Clarkson they are some number of db quieter than a Rolls Royce at 85 mph. Believe that if you will.
They handle well for a big soft car too. This one had new springs all round a couple of years ago according to the s/h I have with it.
If I get chance its going to the local exhaust place to get the blow/rattle sorted tomorrow.

If I can't get the cash, a tempting trade for something suitable for daily use would be interesting.
