cheers, i was in the Charente region, near a place called Barbezieux-St-Hilaire, about 20 mins from Angouleme. My folks have just bought a house there, so i was doing a bit of work on it, ripping up floors stuff like that, but i fell in love with France, everyone is so polite, the women are just stunning, the cars are well groovy, i wanna 2CV van. Just trying to figure out how i can go live and work out there now, not having much luck. Plus i love french radio, had a song, "la tête - à - tête", running through my head the whole time i was there, gotta try and find it now.

It always impresses me how older cars survive in daily life in France considering how they drive ;D and that some parts of their countries climate is not different to ours Ace pictures P.S Always get the impression that no car in France ever sees 'Polish'. Clean yes, but never actually shiney

Think my best spot was a mint Citroen Ami, but i was too busy tuckin into a canard to snap a pic. And on the ferry back saw a rather odd beast, 4 door saloon, pointed racing nose, and a very square back, front like a ferrari and back like a grenada, and i think it was sporting a Aston Martin badge, no idea what it was though

What an odd critter the Legonda is - am I the only person who thinks it looks like it's been through a taffy pulling machine?

Damn fine spotting, France is great isn't it? They just seem so much more laid back, and the driving is fantastic too due to the lower number of people on the road. Looks like you had a great holiday... ;D

On open road, Yes. but have you driven round Paris!? ;D A good point well made , I always thought it was like a big dodgem game. At least in my experience the Parisians have all been well intentioned and there's no real malice (they just want to get there first). Driving through East London yesterday, you get similar amounts of hassle, but the attitude is a pain in the ...
