And then the rear lights of the Stegea have been either painted or covered, and some earlier ones glued over the top, along with some ill-fitting chrome bumper corners. And people actually thought this was a good idea?
Could have been so good!
Tell me how you'd improve this, please.
The original lights stook proud of the rear panel, which they've followed on faithfully in the conversion.
This isn't mean't to be inflammatory, just after your constructive input.
Not a problem.
I would have two options on it.
1) remove the rear lights altogether, and weld in a panel and flush it, then attach the rear lights. It would still look awful, but less so.
2) I wouldn't fit the rear lights. NOTHING at the rear has been altered excepting to stick them on very poorly, so although the front works OK, it has had the whole front changed. I would leave the rear with the standard lights.
With either option (preferably #2) I would flush off the rear bumper, curving inwards at the bottom, and mount some real chromed metal corner bumpers. I would DEFINITELY remove the rear lights mounted in the lower part of the bumper as well.
In all honesty, if you're going to leave the A-pillar back in the style of the base car, then the back should remain untouched, otherwise, as has happened, there is no continuity. If it was done all out, the door handles, wheelarch dimensions, even the profile should be changed. As it is, it's a half decent front end conversion with some tack on the back.
