I wonder if Scary could make one for Larry & I on our next lark to flipping Mongolia? Like in 5 years hence? Normski.... Trust me , it is not worth the effort for what you are doing. It is great as a hobby, and to use for oneself, but it does eat up a load of time, unless you go for basic square box and mattress.

Hey Benzboy, not only are they kinda cool, they are also usefull. \some builders make the interior very basic and removable, so then they have a cargo trailer too. I was over at "Essex Caravan Breakers" this morning and got a load of stuff which I will post I'm my build thread later.... He has an ally chassis caravan there, £60.00 to take it away as it stands. I think it may be the one in the left of this pic All this stuff, which I do need for the build, well it makes life easier... cost me £20.00. However, being in the right place at the right time could land you a whole caravan for FREE or as little as £50.00

Grizz n NorthernMunkie know me well, and I know this is an old thread, but just thought I'd share my Teardrop with you all. If you wanna go 'ultralight' as I have to for the Trike, this little bed space weighs in at 130Kg. The originals weighed only 100Kg, but mines had some extra's. No galley kitchen, no telly, no nothing. Just a bed. Get to a Trike Rally, go to beer tent, have a 'couple' of Shandies, find a Kebab Van, then in to bed. Next morning lock lid down and drive home ! ! ! They came out to help me fit the gasrams to the door ??

Welcome Twoshowers. I saw this and wondered how it had rissen from the depths. Of course things have moved on since then. Well, it will be a short report, as we only did 3 nights out, and about 400 miles. We go to the Retro Rides gathering every year, and when we decided to get married, Nicola suggested we go to the RRG '10 and then off to Bath in Somerset for a few days with the Teardrop, which had not been built at the time. (It would have been in the Transit, which ultimately did not make it this year) We also brought my Brother over to join us at the wedding as a witness, and to spend some time here in the UK. He slept in the back of the VW in a single bed mattress..... perfect !! The trailer proved itself to be watertight, as well as perfect for our camping trip. It also drew loads of attention and I was asked a few times where I had bought it, with some people not wanting to believe it was home built. PERFECT !! Married, and most of the photos taken. Just one pic of my younger brother, life saver, and great friend. Our spot at The Gathering. BBQ up and going, with Lewis checking out Nicola's Pink scooter, perfect for campground duties. The powered bike is one he built for the Gathering. He and others were hooning about the whole weekend on it. Marital duties for the man of the house. Stunning campgrounds at Bath.
