That's a massive shame. Your pal should have made an offer on it there and then! I've got a strong feeling I'm going to be owning one of these soon, I can't resist the urge any longer, I think they're great!

Crying shame, i have a real want for one of these or an ambassador, there's one in my local town that's a daily drive, looks great..
such a shame they're fwd though I'd forgive them that for the seventiestastic styling esp if it was one of the 6 pot ones

Seriously Rmad, Why do you bother to comment when i post a comment you don't like? is that really what a moderators job intails? would YOU have bought this dead sh1tbrown 2 litre princess with bits missing? would YOU have offered more than the scrap price for this car with all the saleable bits removed? and travelled to the north west to pick up? just out of interest, how many pre-1985 cars did you buy and run or restore in the last year? this Princess had great potential, potentially it will become a BBQ and some bean tins if someone on this forum had just bought this lovely executive family wedge designed straight from the BL parts bin, i would have kept my opinions to myself. but its dead and gone, my post extolls the virtues (and common sense) of stealing calipers and binning the rest, rather than attempt to resurect a dead motor, that was awful to drive when new, (Have you actually driven one in the last 10 years Rmad?) never mind whens its been sat around for a few years, removed from the DVLA computer system and missing vital, and hard to source, parts. i learned many years ago the folly of buying a moneypit car, when better examples can be bought for just a couple of hundred pounds more. Realism, my world is full of it how about yours?

Ah, the danger of a moderator actually expressing their opinion. An ideal opportunity for someone to start mouthing off at the unelected authority figures. Sorry but the negative comments about this tragic Prinny were just unecessary.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.
