right chaps my mates just bought a 72 CROWN wagon with a seized engine, its in primrose yellow and has,nt moved for 20 years. its all good apart from the engine. its a 2.6 straight six. anyone got a motor for it ? or alternativly what can we find down the scrappy that uses the same block?
also hers a nice oppertunity to post all the best CROWNs around so i can bung them on a cd for him cos he aint got a pc. ;D ;D ;D ill get pics tomorow with a bit of luck

Sounds fuggin ace! put a 1.2 starlet engine in with a krazy kamshaft so that it revs to 11k.

You could try the NA 3.0 Supra of the late 80s, seems like the majority of them here are auto boxed and they're always going for silly prices. Engines can take silly mileage too.

it will (should) be an M series engine so any M engine should do, turbo being a fair bit more work of course. from memory you should be looking at cressida's, CROWN's and the celica/supra's from around the late 70's, early 80's although i'm sure they were available in more body styles than this. a quick interweb search would clear it up anyway.
from memory (read it on toymods, good source of info and there's a guy on there doing a J conversion to one of these wagons) if you do decide to go with a turbo M motor the main problem is the oil return line from the head wants to be in the same place as one of the engine mounts.
cool wagons, wish i could find one in NZ, haven't seen one around for years.
