Outstanding work... THIS is my favourite...I can only imagine the conversations - "pivot, pivot, PIIVOOTT!" And the other one was vacuum packed for extra freshness. Wunderbar!

you sir are quite mad.....
You picked a rusty ex racer to restore and took us all on a fantastic journey from initial "you cannot be serious" to "bloody hell he'll do this" to "aw fugging hell"
Now you are gonna do it all again
Quite quite mad
Thread is already in my bookmarks so I can't say marked, booked or any combination of that.
My vote for most eagerly anticipated car of 2019 already cast
I'm in for the long haul

Sir Hairy you know you want to do it. If not for yourself then for your legions of fans. Practice makes perfect and you had plenty of practice on the other shell. Anyway what other excuse have you got for drinking so much expensive coffee and eating so many biscuits?

Mel's back! Excellent a return of the type of build that I wish I could do, but am lacking in the skill, motivation, finances, and total and utter madness to be able to carry out.
Looking forward to seeing how this goes!

Karma for not giving in.
Also impressed the distance you travelled to pick them up.
Good luck!

hairymel - I seem to recall a post where you were asking for photos of the bits of your new ramp which attach to the car. Don't know if you've worked it out yet, but this might help: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181242895103

sorry for not replying guys - i am snowed under with work and my full attention outside of that has been on the search for a suitable unit. the shells and parts are in their third temporary resting place since collection and i am a little tired of moving it all about a second attempt to rent a unit is underway but my chickens are most certainly not counted yet

Happy days! Glad to see the mojo has returned and updates will soon follow as this was my favorite thread to follow! Good luck with the new build and for the love of god keep it away from anything flammable

That's actually quite terrifying seeing cars reduced to that, very sad to see 294 end the way it has, and all the others too. Sobering stuff.
