Looking really good - spacious, cosy and warm. Nice turn-up-stuff-ering too - I like that screw-thread window opener. Is that a widearch Viva in yellow Yes, it is. Nope - it turned up in his Viva HB thread. IIRC, he bought it as an engine/trans donor?

Yeah thats right- its the 1800 axle, big victor brake, 2 speed wiper and some other little bits donor see bottom of post. We love finding little trinkets- Hannah has found this really cool old brass catch she is itching to use on a cabinet when we get round to that stage. As we get closer to little details we will get more excited about trawling through the antiques shops. I personally cant wait- there is a local place that has a separate section dedicated to old tools like huge old rusty wood saws that the pioneers of NZ used to build houses with. I will have to be very controlled

i cant bloody wait! Yesterday we took recycling down to centre and had a little browse through the recycled shop. What did we find? A mint stainless shower tray 760mm square! We have been looking for ages on trade me and at reclamation yards for one but every thing has been too big. Usual is 900 by 800. Then i asked the price... Give us 7 dollars for it. Sweet. My wallet came out so quick i burnt my pocket. Tray was complete with drain too- that alone would cost 20 bucks new at least. Me happy.

whoa! I just stumbled across this and have literally spent my evening reading your thread. It is simply amazing, so so so impressive. Whats nice is that it looks so well built and thought out. The attention to detail is there. Seriously, this should be on Grand Designs dude! Its very very very inspirational, and puts me to shame that i still have a VW Bus in my garden that i havent yet finished. And HOW i want to get that done after reading this!
Keep on it dude, the end is nigh.
YOU ROCK!!

Righto- after several bloody edit as I get to grips with working out imageshack here are some new updates... Shower has been built. just painting and plumbing to do. the plumbing will begin tomorrow as I have finally gathered all the gas fittings etc. In fact I have liberated the copper fuel pipe from under the olds house from the central heating system they used to use. Sweet as because I priced up copper pipe and boy its expensive! Saved heaps. Recycling rocks So here are some images of the shower coming together.. More later of this. And we got a wicked LPG gas oven on monday. So happy with it. I've been looking for one like this for ages and the last one we saw we missed out on. Its got an eye level grill like we had in the Bedford in Blighty. I love this feature as pretty much all my fancy cooking that doesn't involve weetbix is done on a grill. Plus its got a cool 70's look about it. It has taken us two days to clean up properly and fix a few bits. I need to make a pan for the grill too. Its not often I have seen ovens being welded on a car forum so here ya all go... Here it is all shiny like... I would have taken it down to an underground carpark and snapped some uber cool shots with cunning lighting if, A: Blenheim had an underground carpark. B: it wouldn't involve wheeling a heavy oven downtown in a wheelbarrow with my crook knee whilst looking ever so slightly dodgy. So I took this trendy shot here which only necessitated me getting down on the floor- that I can handle.

Lol, I'm waiting for a full build thread on that oven! And you forgot to use your mobile phone to show how much dish the shower tray has.
Excellent work.

Not quite sure what to say that hasn’t already been said about this, but I’ll settle for “Jesus. H. Christ on a bike, that is truly epic!!!”
Amazing work!
