Are there any left in Bristol or close surrounds? After bits for an Astra of course its the bits that modern scrappers do not keep Last one I visited was up near Stroud of the a38 which is a good 20 miles from where I live now.

You could try the one just outside Keynsham on the A4175, heading towards Willsbridge/Longwell Green, it's not too far from the Lock Keeper Pub. The yard is tucked in off the road, but he seems to have a fair few older cars in there on the occaisions i've been in there or driven past, he's pretty reasonable with his prices to. If the gates are shut, ring his mobile number (it's written on the gate) as he works alone and may just be out collecting. Hope this helps.

That one scoobypete is talking of is pyll? Its on road parallel to bath and west road. used to have lots of old stuff, but caught fire big style on Glastonbury fest. weekend and wiped out. Its going again and had a tidy dolly and scirocco in. The guard woman / owner was a bit snarly though. Bit far out but my local, Ransommes in trowbridge is a good one. Been going there 25 yrs +

I've just called a mate in Keynsham, and he says it's 'Keynsham Car Breakers'. The post code is BS31 2DE, hope this helps.

Ask and be polite in Radstock yard though as you might not come back out.

Been going there 25 yrs + Correct, thats Rossiters at Pylle. Burned down during Glasto 2007 (I was there!) Havent been there myself for about a year but always a good stock. Better still is Lydford Crosskeys. Its about 20 mins further south past Rossitors, fantastic yard it is. Its right next to the railway line, you arrive at a traffic light controlled corss roads, and its on the left just after that. If you go under the railway bridge you have gone to far. The person who commented on the two in Weston, first one I wouldnt send my worst enemy too. They really are a bunch of rude, vile and abusive gippos in there. One at the end is much much better although no much old stock of late, was in there a few weekends back. Best in the SW is Blackborough House in North Devon. Incredible place.

[/quote] 'Radstock Yard' if that's the one owned by Alan Hall, he's alright, a nice bloke really, Mind you when he was younger!!! I think his son runs it now. Alan is now one of the local councillors for Radstock. Dunkerton Dismantlers is well worth a look to, Bob Brice ran it a few years back, another nice bloke, so long as you didn't take the P*ss, reasonably priced to.
