ah lots done since my last update!.  lovely rebuilt 1256!.  sorted some rust coming through the paint.  some wheels to go on (currently getting stripped and polished)  got this half hb gt bonnet to weld the vents into the hc bonnet  still got to put the new peco exhaust on a few little jobs and get it mot'd so that'll be done in the next few weeks |

Nice ride! Keep us updated, love that you're sticking with the 1256, I may even have a Lumenition Optronic electronic ignition fitting kit for your distributor if you'd be interested? That would be the first mod I would do to the engine before anything else!

still got some bits to do to actually get it running. not sure if i want to put rostyles on instead of the alloys and i'd like to put a later interior in it but the one thats curently in it is in mint condition but as I'm quite tall i need a reclining seat and one that'll move back further. there are lots of ideas i have for it mainly 70's themed so slotmags raised rear end spoiler and flames ;D

Shaweeeet! Your lights look a bit yellow - are they tinted or are the reflectors shot? I've got a pair at home - I've got some headlights as well ;D (and other bits and bobs) Intrested?

yeah it'll be staying the same colour (honey starmist how 70's!)
the headlights were painted yellow when it had been abroad sometime in the 8 years it was on the road!!. i have remover that as it looked poor when you got close.

Yeah I had the estate but had to sell it as my family is now another child richer. At one stage I had two saloons and three estates but all I have now are this car and my green saloon that may well be up for sale soon Although I can't bare to do it.

Looking good man and as for your goodies - the vents should look pretty key, i really like the chrome trim on the front of them and those compomotives look great all polished up. I seen a set of them at a show last year so:  I'm sure I could do a photoshop for you if you want? |

hopefully the car will be going to my mates garage in the next week so it'll actually have an mot and i can drive it. in the meantime i have decided to sell my long term project viva.  and to make myself feel better i got some more bits.   |

well i have managed to sort some bits since my last update (exept the crappy rusty roof) and got some more bits for the car.    power bulge!.  new numberplates, black letters and lights.  magnum sidelight indicators stripes and bumper removal.  side window surrounds, rear bumper door handles black and a tasty rear spoiler temporarily put on so i can finish cutting it about.  i managed to get a genuine fog/spotlight kit for it but i need the switch.  and for my ever increasing parts haul. |

Yes oli8925 that was me with the bonnet!. Cars coming along a treat and will be in the shop ASAP ready to attack the tarmac for the first time since 1980!. Still got some bits to do but it's looking nice and I'm very happy. Martinc: luckily these are 4inch pcd to fit the viva, I know all about the 100mm and 4inch debate  |
