I haven't seen enough J meat on here recently so... From www.carsensor.net (just type the name of the car (Bluebird, laurel, etc) in the top box of the search window): Anybody have any other J sites that they check for current sales? 510 SSS - POA Laurel - £2.200 Laurel coupe (WOW!) - £10,000 Laurel coupe - £8,000 1800 SSS 510 - £3,200

Wow! Superb. Those Laurel coupes always trick me. I have a couple of thousand boso-style J-Car pics on my hard drive, and I spent hours trying to sort them all by model etc (no, I didn't have anything better to do), and when I'd finished I was really pleased with myself.
Then I realised that a Laurel Coupe can look quite a bit like a Skyline (the one that Kyteler has?) and I'd categorised loads of them wrongly. And I still can't tell 100% which ones ;D

Then I realised that a Laurel Coupe can look quite a bit like a Skyline (the one that Kyteler has?) and I'd categorised loads of them wrongly. And I still can't tell 100% which ones Fortunately there are far less Laurel coupes models than Skyline ones! One rule is to remember that this laurel (C130): has lights in the rear bumper, whereas the skyline rear lamps of the period (C110) are on the body and will be round! The front of the cars are similar but the skyline has a bar or chrome graphic separating the grills at the front... - the Laurels didn't..... The later ones are easier to sort out! Next lesson; the difference between asda spuds and waitrose potatoes.

Cheers fellow-Darren I shall try again, it's not easy with some of the super-boso'd motors though, but it all helps in my quest to become the ultimate knower of all things automotive

Haven't dared try the link yet (work and all that tedious stuff) but you chaps have already found some awesome stuff.
The other easy C110 vs C130 thing is that C110 has that funny kinked swage line in the rear quarter. C130 looks quite odd in the flesh, I've been lucky enough to have a very good look at a couple here in the UK. Datsun UK only imported 300 or, all 4-pot G20 engine, so rather rare.
The most recent was found through an exporter who had the owners ring him about it, fortunately he bid them a stupidly low amount as coupes aren't worth much and gave me the number. It'd been off the road for 13 years or so, new owner is a mate of Ratdat's who has interesting plans for it.....

The 510SSS in yellow is not priced on the site. I was trying to buy a 510 a while ago through the site and it was difficult. I called, they didn't speak English (of course) and after a few mushi mushis I gave up. Then I asked the UK importers who deal in Skylines and they just ignored me. Then I tried to find an agent and couldn't find anyone, then I tried to get someone through work to call them and they couldn't be arsed. I gave up in the end. Pretty pictures but you really need to be there to buy.
