Keyword: Bobtail.

Looks like the owner is a AWDC member, they usually 'bob' the tails to reduce the overhang, so therefore it's easier to traverse the courses.

Tis the Achilles heel of the Rangey and to a slightly lesser degree the disco, not that its terrible, more that the clearnce is so good everywhere else the tail grounding out is annoying, any 4x4 will perform better with no overhangs, the legendary Unimog for instance will go just about anywhere, the H1 Hummer is another example.

Most of the ones i've seen on the lanes are pickups, normally with big lifts and very capable!
