Sorry, that sounded rather flippant.... Yes, the Green thing was rather cool, and was pretty much in yer face as soon as you walked through the door. Like the Mystery Machine van, but my fave was a Downton tuned cooper - positively lush

Seen the green one before, and so many others like it. getting a bit tired of the wide rims and wide arch scene. The mini scene needs some new ideas, That's one of the reasons I quit Minis, it's all been done, and if it hasn't been done it get's ridiculed. curse word that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's why I joined this place. No one judges you

That`s why I went for the Compo cross spokes this time, just as a change from Minilite replicas - although some people have told me they`re not proper "Mini" wheels I gave the whole Mini scene a break last year and I don`t even know if I can be bothered this year - might gate crash a couple of VW shows in the wifes New Beetle Cab though

got to agree, my brother had a mini, so i attended a couple of shows, and met a few mini owners. I always wanted a mini but found that the complete lack of imagination, and alot of the people in it where not that funny / great (look at the shows or events section in miniworld, its realy close nit, and fart humour!) so i bought a reliant kitten instead lol... (no offence to any mini owners, I'm sure that if you own a mini and are on this forum you don't fall into the above category!)
My brother agreed with this so bought a mk1 CR-x to replace the mini.

That green mini looks like a Fibreglass shell, no seams and no visable sill.

yea, look at how far the wheel arches go up the front wing - minus's are lower (also note how much lower it is than the one next to it) they have a few inchs out all the way around the middle!

I'm a mini fan but I don't get 'it' or the attitude of some owners when they say they are an 'exclusive icon' and how parts are going up in price? Issigonis designed the 'Min' as a cheep afordable run around for the masses that is designed to be bodged up as it gets older for the least amount of pennies ... ...which is why I like 'em

Well rarity is always going to drive prices up and Mini's are out of production now.
The thing that always put me off the Mini scene was how the worlds of a lot of people in revolve around the cars and they wont except anything is better.

I can go better on that... I know a chap who is 'Mini this' 'Mini that' and who (as you stated) thinks Mini is everything, Mini is best and then ... ...goes to work in the week in a Ford Focus **not criticising Ford Focus in any way**
