Yeah why block the plates? I know some folk do that but I don't understand why. i think it is just common courtesy. it is the car owners plate and they should do what they want with it. also, when posting pics like these there is actually a very high possibly that the plates might be used for criminal activities. say someone has just stolen a BMW 8 series of a VW Van...copy of these plates, and there you go, they go undetected for ages...i've heard of this happening only the other week with an RX-8 and number plate. Worring...and of course, as long as the car with the original number plate is taxed and insured it won't be picked up because these cameras CAN'T recognize different colour/wheels/body kit/etc. TBH not much of a risk that though is it, if you want to clone a car you can just look on Ebay for a similar one to nick the reg off or just sit in your front garden watching until one goes past. A lot of these Barrys kick off on barryboys ‘stop putting my reg plate on the internet, violation of privacy’ but as soon as you drive down a busy street and 10,000 people see your reg plate in 5 minutes, especially when its attached to some ‘look at me everyone’ bright purple mong cart with flashing lights all over it the argument goes out the window IMO. Fair enough if anyone wants to block out their reg plate like, I cant be bothered though.

it is i suppose a personal choice as to whether you do, or you don't block the plates. it is the same, in a way, as to whether you put your name/details on pictures you upload.
out of interest what is the offical word on number plates on the net; i know invisionfree don't like it...

If you're chasing cars up I'd be hammering on the door of whoever owns that Celeste, it looks fantastic! AE86 on slot-mags reminds me of a tatty-ish one round this way - used to see it in Ipswich years ago, saw it in Norwich last year. Resprayed blue, on a cherished plate, even wider slot-mags than the one above. Got a pic at home somewhere. Talking to a local mate last night - his brother let a running AE86 go to someone last year for £150. Oops! Someone got a bargain there.... Hey spotedlaural I think I know the AE86 your'e on about, it was a metalic turquoise/blue colour with pinky purple graphics on the bottom of the doors (well it was the nineties!) A guy down my old street owned it for several years, By the way I drove past that guys house on Nacton road that we were talking about a while ago and he still has two cool cars...No camera at the time but pics will follow later
