Are these available @ toys-r-us or similar, or is it a specailist job? Are there any more 'superbird' / mopar / muscle beasts available?? I recently dug out my 'Subaru Challenge' set out from under the bed where it's been hiding for 3 years as my lad is just about old enough to have some fun with it. Fancy getting some old-skool beasts to replace the Subarus!

I've got a Roger Penske '69 Camaro Z/28, and I love it , it had a magnet in, but I took that out for tail happy moments. Gonna have a mass 6 lane tournament come the summer at a local pub with some mates, to make some money for local charities, will post details closer to the date, and you are all welcome to come.

Was at teh Toy Fair in London last week. Scalectrix is the big noise for 2007! Yah! Loads of great cars. It's all gone "digital" so you can race up to six cars in the same lane and change lanes to overtake/outbrake etc.
There were some awesome demo sets up including a great scalectrix drift set coming soon!!

I'VE JUST BOUGHT THAT! Nice one to have, has a moveable/slideable magnet on the chassis so you can get it to do different styles of 'powersliding' when going round bends . One word of warning though: Detail and finish on that one is so superb that you will be afraid to use it for fear of getting it scratched/knocked ;D

Other Mopar?: Personally, I think I'd like a pair of NSUs.

They demo guy could keep his cars tail out for ever! Not a bad day job, Scalextric drift demoer!

rmad in da house: Scalextric
Ohh remeber when I was a kid (a verry long time ago) I started my drag racing life with Scalextric, we laid out two long strips of track in a friends parents garage then we raced, most of the time it ended up with cars smashed into a wall, man that was fun. When we got real daring we did "fire burnouts" that we had seen in American Drag Racing Rags, some cars melted down to lumps of plastic but we were killer drag racers....
After seeing some of those NASCAR cars I just have to run out to Toys R Us and see what can be done about a 4 or 6 tracks wide oval and a bunch of 70's NASCAR's, this would be the final touch to The Flying 8-Ball Bar, this is wayyyyy cool stuff....
