Heres one of my old ones (an internet legend it was) I lived In Stornoway at the time and 3 of us went to Billing, during a run even further south my engine spat the dummy on the M25.... seventeen and a half hours on a recovery truck later they dropped me off on Skye ready for the ferry, how do you get a blown 110 onto a ferry.... I was towed by a..... by a..... oh christ I cant say it........ Even worse my mate had spoke to alot of the ferry and harbour workers and got them to clap and cheer as I got towed on..... 8 years or so ago that was and I still have a nervous twitch about it ;D

Thats not the reason I got a template to fit my 300 tdi headlights, spent hours cutting, chopping, filing, bleeding etc.. Then found I had the template back to front...... Went to do some work on the Cap instead and found that a rear caliper has siezed and the new wheels are rubbing on the suspension. Oh I'm out of Jim Beam too.

My name's Rob, I like Land Rovers. My defender 90 300tdi county. My first car, bought some steels with 265/75 general AT2s, guards, A bar etc. Did loads of offroading on the farm and down Bures pit a few times. Over the years I lost most of the guards for various reasons It's done a lot of towing... The latest aquisition, series 2a with Rover V8. I haven't touched it since it arrived since being preoccupied with BMWs, non runner due to faulty fuel pump. Ex forest trialler Series 3 diesel, needs fixing! Rangie 2 door offroader, recently departed to my next door neighbour as a cash drive for my E21 project. Kept the wheels for the series 2a...

I'm in the Falklands at the moment where modded 110's are the norm as they are needed to get around. I have had and built Plenty.. This is my current daily drive, or it was until recently, 1966 2a Doublecab, hand built as they didnt do them back then... Oh and 110Bhp Tdi... Fishtails in 3rd ;D Add that to Non sevo drums and typical Series Landy Steering its entertaining at 85mph! Started as this shed.... My landy last time I was here Another one of mine... 4 litre perkins Rangerover 3 inch body lift 3 inch suspension lift 38inch tyres.. bloody awsome! More recent 110 TDi

Okai they were built by a company called Roadless Traction for forestry work, the large wheels were for crossing logs & ditches etc.
however they never actually went beyond a handful made, because teh sterring was best described as 'unpredictable' and they were Slow as teh forestry commission discovered a certain german company making a thing mentioned in another thread
Correction around 20 were made, and it actually did make it to Rover approved conversion!
this link has some more detailed explaination about it: www.lr-mad.co.uk/forest.html
Personally i find tehn impressive, and to see the Lix Toll one (the one i posted) next to one of my other favourite conversions the Cuthbertson, well, i did have to be dragged back to my own 110 by my girlfriend & best friend to continue that scottish holiday...
Also i seem to remember reading that both the Lix Toll ones have been sold, i know neither was tehre last august
